Song of Solomon 8
1 O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.
૧જો તું મારી માના થાનને ધાવેલો મારો સગો ભાઈ હોત તો કેવું સારું. જ્યારે તું મને બહાર મળત, ત્યારે હું તને ચુંબન કરત, તેમ છતાં કોઈ મને ધિક્કારત નહિ.
2 I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.
૨હું તને મારી માતાના ઘરમાં લઈ આવત કે, અને તું મને શીખવત. હું તને મસાલેદાર દ્રાક્ષારસ, અને તને મારા દાડમનો રસ પીવાને આપત.
3 His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
૩તેનો ડાબો હાથ મારા માથા નીચે છે; તેનો જમણો હાથ મને આલિંગન કરે છે.
4 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please.
૪ઓ યરુશાલેમની યુવતીઓ, હું તમને સોગન આપીને કહું છું કે, મારા પ્રીતમની મરજી થાય ત્યાં સુધી તમે મારા પ્રીતમને જગાડશો નહી.
5 Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.
૫પોતાના પ્રીતમ પર ટેકીને રણમાંથી, આ યુવતી કોણ આવે છે? મેં તેને સફરજનના વૃક્ષ નીચે જગાડયો; જ્યાં તારી માતા જન્મ આપતાં કષ્ટાતી હતી; ત્યાં તેણે તને જન્મ આપ્યો.
6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. (Sheol h7585)
૬મને તારા હૃદય પર મુદ્રા તરીકે અને તારા હાથ પરની વીંટી તરીકે બેસાડ. કેમ કે પ્રેમ મોત સમાન બળવાન છે. અને ઈર્ષ્યા શેઓલ જેવી ક્રૂર છે; તેના ચમકારા; અગ્નિની જ્વાળા જેવા પ્રબળ છે. (Sheol h7585)
7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
૭ઘણાં પાણીનો પ્રવાહ પ્રેમને હોલવી શકે નહિ, જળપ્રલયનાં પાણી એને ખેંચી જતાં નથી. જે કોઈ વ્યક્તિ પ્રેમને માટે પોતાની ઘરની બધી સંપત્તિ આપી દે, તોપણ તેને લોકો ધિક્કારે છે.
8 We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?
૮અમારે એક નાની બહેન છે, હજી તે પુખ્ત થયેલી નથી, હવે જે દિવસે તેનું માગું આવશે ત્યારે અમારી બહેન માટે અમે શું કરીશું?
9 If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.
૯જો તે કોટ હોય તો, અમે તેના પર ચાંદીથી મોરચો બાંધીશું અને જો તે દ્વાર હોય તો અમે તેને દેવદાર વૃક્ષનાં પાટિયાં વડે તેને ઢાંકી દઈશું.
10 I am a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour.
૧૦હું કોટ છું અને મારાં સ્તન તેના બુરજો જેવા છે; જેને શાંતિ પ્રાપ્ત થઈ હોય તેના જેવી હું તેની નજરમાં હતી.
11 Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of silver.
૧૧સુલેમાનને બઆલ હામોનમાં એક દ્રાક્ષવાડી હતી તેણે તે દ્રાક્ષવાડી રખેવાળોને ભાડે આપી તેનાં ફળને માટે દરેકને ચાંદીના એક હજાર સિક્કા લાવીને આપવાના હતા.
12 My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.
૧૨મારી દ્રાક્ષવાડી મારી પોતાની છે; મારા પ્રિય સુલેમાન, તે હજાર શેકેલ તો તારાં છે મારા પ્રિય સુલેમાન, અને તેના ફળની રખેવાળી કરનારને બસો શેકેલ મળશે.
13 Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear it.
૧૩હે બગીચાઓમાં વસનારી, મારા મિત્રો તારો અવાજ સાંભળવાને ધ્યાન દઈને તાકી રહે છે; મને તે સંભળાવ.
14 Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
૧૪હે મારા પ્રીતમ, તું વહેલો આવ, સુગંધી દ્રવ્યોના પર્વત પર તું હરણ કે સાબરીના બચ્ચા જેવો થા.
