Romans 1
1 Paul, a servant of Yahushua the Messiah, called to be an apostle, separated unto the glad tidings of YHWH,
Pál, Jézus Krisztusnak szolgája, elhívott apostol, kiválasztva Isten evangéliumának hirdetésére,
2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures, )
amelyet eleve megígért az ő prófétái által a szent írásokban,
3 Concerning his Son Yahushua the Messiah our Saviour, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
az ő Fia felől, aki Dávid utóda volt test szerint,
4 And declared to be the Son of YHWH with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
de aki a szentség Lelke szerint, a halálból való feltámadása által, Isten hatalmas Fiának bizonyult, a mi Urunk Jézus Krisztus felől,
5 By whom we have received favour and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
aki által kegyelmet és apostolságot kaptunk az ő nevéért, hogy hitre és engedelmességre hívjuk a pogányokat.
6 Among whom are ye also the called of Yahushua the Messiah:
Ezek közé tartoztok ti is, Jézus Krisztus elhívottai.
7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of YHWH, called to be saints: favour to you and peace from YHWH our Father, and the Master Yahushua the Messiah.
Mindenkinek, akik Rómában vagytok, Isten szeretteinek, az elhívott szenteknek: Kegyelem néktek és békesség Istentől, a mi Atyánktól, és az Úr Jézus Krisztustól.
8 First, I thank my Elohim through Yahushua the Messiah for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Először is hálát adok az én Istenemnek, a Jézus Krisztus által, mindnyájatokért, hogy a ti hiteteknek az egész világon híre van,
9 For YHWH is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the glad tidings of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
mert tanúm az Isten, akinek lelkem szerint szolgálok az ő Fiának evangéliumával, hogy imádságomban szüntelenül megemlékezem rólatok,
10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of YHWH to come unto you.
könyörögve, hogy egyszer, Isten akaratából, jó szerencsés út adódna nekem, hogy hozzátok mehessek.
11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
Mert látni kívánlak titeket, hogy valamilyen lelki ajándékot adjak nektek megerősödéstekre,
12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
hogy megvigasztalódjunk nálatok egymás hite által, a tiétek, meg az enyém által.
13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto, ) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
Nem akarom pedig, atyámfiai, hogy ne tudjátok, hogy sokszor feltettem magamban, hogy elmegyek hozzátok, (de mindeddig megakadályoztattam), hogy közöttetek is nyerjek valami lelki gyümölcsöt, mint más pogány népek között.
14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
Mind a görögöknek, mind a barbároknak, mind a bölcseknek, mind a tudatlanoknak adósa vagyok.
15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the glad tidings to you that are at Rome also.
Azért, ami rajtam áll, kész vagyok nektek is, akik Rómában vagytok, az evangéliumot hirdetni.
16 For I am not ashamed of the glad tidings of the Messiah: for it is the power of YHWH unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Mert nem szégyellem a Krisztus evangéliumát, mert Istennek hatalma az, minden hívő üdvösségére, első sorban zsidóknak, de görögöknek is.
17 For therein is the righteousness of YHWH revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Mert Isten igazsága nyilvánul meg abban hitből hitbe, amiképpen meg van írva: „Az igaz ember hitből él“.
18 For the wrath of YHWH is revealed from heaven against all wickedness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Mert Isten kinyilvánítja haragját a mennyből az emberek minden hitetlensége és hamissága ellen, akik az igazságot hamissággal feltartóztatják.
19 Because that which may be known of YHWH is manifest in them; for YHWH hath shewed it unto them.
Mert ami Isten felől tudható, az nyilvánvaló előttük, mert Isten nyilvánvalóvá tette számukra.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and supernal nature; so that they are without excuse: (aïdios g126)
Mert ami Istenben láthatatlan, tudniillik az ő örökkévaló hatalma és istensége, a világ teremtése óta alkotásaiból megérthető és látható. Ezért menthetetlenek. (aïdios g126)
21 Because that, when they knew YHWH, they glorified him not as Elohim, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Mert bár Istent megismerték, mégsem mint Istent dicsőítették, hálát sem adtak neki, hanem okoskodásaikban hiábavalóságokra jutottak, és balgatag szívük elsötétedett.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Magukat bölcsnek vallva, balgává lettek.
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible Elohim into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Az örökkévaló Isten dicsőségét felcserélték mulandó embereknek, madaraknak, négylábú állatoknak és csúszó-mászó állatoknak képmásával.
24 Wherefore YHWH also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Ezért Isten kiszolgáltatta őket szívük kívánságai szerint a tisztátalanságnak, hogy egymás testét megbecstelenítsék.
25 Who changed the truth of YHWH into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. (aiōn g165)
Mint akik Isten igazságát hazugsággá változtatták, és a teremtett dolgokat tisztelték és szolgálták a Teremtő helyett, aki mindörökké áldott! Ámen. (aiōn g165)
26 For this cause YHWH gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Ezért Isten kiszolgáltatta őket tisztátalan indulatoknak. Asszonyaik a természet rendjét természetellenesre cserélték fel.
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Hasonlóképen a férfiak is elhagyták az asszonyokkal való természetes érintkezést, egymás iránt gerjedtek fel bujaságukban, férfiak férfiakkal fajtalankodtak. El is vették önmagukban tévelygésük méltó büntetését.
28 And even as they did not like to retain YHWH in their knowledge, YHWH gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Ahogyan Istent nem méltatták arra, hogy ismeretükben megtartsák, úgy Isten is kiszolgáltatta őket romlott gondolkodásuknak, hogy alávaló dolgokat cselekedjenek.
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Ezért tele is vannak mindenféle hamissággal, paráznasággal, gonoszsággal, kapzsisággal, rosszasággal, irigységgel, gyilkos indulattal, versengéssel, álnoksággal, rossz erkölccsel.
30 Backbiters, haters of YHWH, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Besúgók, rágalmazók, istengyűlölők, dölyfösek, kevélyek, dicsekedők, rosszban mesterkedők, szüleiknek engedetlenek,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
balgatagok, összeférhetetlenek, szeretet nélkül valók, engesztelhetetlenek, irgalmatlanok.
32 Who knowing the judgment of YHWH, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Noha ismerik Isten végzését, hogy akik ilyeneket cselekesznek méltók a halálra, mégis megteszik mindezt, sőt egyet is értenek azokkal, akik ugyancsak így cselekszenek.
