Psalms 68
1 Let Elohim arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. દાઉદનું ગીત; ગાયન. ઈશ્વર ઊઠો; તેમના શત્રુઓ વિખેરાઈ જાઓ; તેમને ધિક્કારનારા સર્વ લોકો પણ તેમની આગળથી નાસી જાઓ.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of Elohim.
૨તેઓને ધુમાડાની જેમ ઉડાવી નાખો, જેમ મીણ અગ્નિથી ઓગળી જાય છે, તેમ દુષ્ટો ઈશ્વરની આગળ નાશ પામો.
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before Elohim: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
૩પણ ન્યાયીઓ આનંદ કરો; તેઓ ઈશ્વરની આગળ હર્ષ પામો; તેઓ આનંદ કરો અને હર્ષ પામો.
4 Sing unto Elohim, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name YAH, and rejoice before him.
૪ઈશ્વરની સમક્ષ ગાઓ, તેમના નામનાં સ્તુતિગાન કરો; એમના માટે રાજમાર્ગ બનાવો જે યર્દન નદીની ખીણના મેદાનોમાં થઈને સવારી કરે છે; તેમનું નામ યહોવાહ છે; તેમની સમક્ષ આનંદ કરો.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is Elohim in his holy habitation.
૫અનાથોના પિતા અને વિધવાઓના રક્ષણહાર, એવા ઈશ્વર પોતાના પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં છે.
6 Elohim setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
૬ઈશ્વર એકલા માણસોને કુટુંબવાળા બનાવે છે; તે કેદીઓને બંધનમાંથી છોડાવીને સમૃદ્ધિવાન કરે છે; પણ બંડખોરો સૂકા અને વેરાન પ્રદેશમાં રહે છે.
7 O Elohim, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; (Selah)
૭હે ઈશ્વર, જ્યારે તમે લોકોની આગળ આગળ ચાલ્યા, જ્યારે અરણ્યમાં થઈને તમે કૂચ કરી, (સેલાહ)
8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of Elohim: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of Elohim, the Elohim of Israel.
૮ત્યારે પૃથ્વી કાંપી; વળી ઈશ્વરની આગળ આકાશમાંથી વરસાદ વરસ્યો, ઈશ્વર, ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વરની આગળ સિનાઈ પર્વત કાંપ્યો.
9 Thou, O Elohim, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
૯હે ઈશ્વર, તમે પુષ્કળ વરસાદ વરસાવ્યો; જ્યારે તમારું વતન નિર્બળ થયું હતું, ત્યારે તમે તેને બળવાન કર્યું.
10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O Elohim, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
૧૦તમારા લોકો તેમાં રહે છે; હે ઈશ્વર, તમે ગરીબો ઉપર ઉપકાર કરીને તેમની ભૂખ ભાંગી.
11 YHWH gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.
૧૧પ્રભુ હુકમ આપે છે અને તેઓને ખબર આપનાર એક મહાન સૈન્ય હતું.
12 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.
૧૨રાજાઓનું સૈન્ય નાસે છે, તેઓ દોડી જાય છે અને સ્ત્રીઓ ઘરમાં બેસીને લૂંટ વહેંચવાની રાહ જુએ છે:
13 Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.
૧૩જ્યારે તમે ઘેટાંના વાડામાં સૂઈ રહેશો, ત્યારે જેની પાંખે ચાંદીનો ઢોળ અને પીંછાએ કેસરી સોનાનો ઢોળ ચઢાવેલો હોય, એવા સૂતેલા કબૂતરનાં જેવા લાગશો.
14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.
૧૪જ્યારે સર્વસમર્થે ત્યાં રાજાઓને વિખેરી નાખ્યા, ત્યારે સાલ્મોનના પર્વત પર હિમ પડ્યા જેવું થયું.
15 The hill of Elohim is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.
૧૫એક શક્તિશાળી પર્વત બાશાનનો પહાડી દેશ છે; બાશાનનો પર્વત ઘણા શિખરોવાળો છે.
16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which Elohim desireth to dwell in; yea, YHWH will dwell in it for ever.
૧૬અરે શિખરવાળા પર્વતો, ઈશ્વરે રહેવાને માટે જે પર્વત પસંદ કર્યો છે, તેને તમે વક્ર દ્રષ્ટિએ કેમ જુઓ છો? નિશ્ચે યહોવાહ ત્યાં સદાકાળ રહેશે.
17 The chariots of Elohim are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: YHWH is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
૧૭ઈશ્વરના રથો વીસ હજાર છે, લાખોલાખ છે; જેમ તે સિનાઈના પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં છે, તેમ પ્રભુ તેઓમાં છે.
18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that YAH Elohim might dwell among them.
૧૮તમે ઉચ્ચસ્થાનમાં ગયા છો; તમે બંદીવાનોને લઈને આવ્યા; તમે માણસો પાસેથી ભેટો લીધી, એ લોકો પાસેથી પણ જેઓ તમારી વિરુદ્ધ હતા, કે જેથી યહોવાહ ઈશ્વર ત્યાં રહે.
19 Blessed be YHWH, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the El of our salvation. (Selah)
૧૯પ્રભુની સ્તુતિ થાઓ, કે જે રોજ આપણો બોજો ઊંચકી લે છે, તે આપણા ઉદ્ધારના ઈશ્વર છે. (સેલાહ)
20 He that is our El is the El of salvation; and unto YHWH, my master, belong the issues from death.
૨૦ઈશ્વર એ આપણા ઈશ્વર છે જેમણે આપણને બચાવ્યા; મરણથી છૂટવાના માર્ગો પ્રભુ યહોવાહ પાસે છે.
21 But Elohim shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
૨૧પણ ઈશ્વર પોતાના શત્રુઓનાં માથાં ફોડી નાખશે, પાપમાં રચ્યાપચ્યા રહેનારની કેશવાળી ખોપરી તે ફોડી નાખશે.
22 YHWH said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:
૨૨પ્રભુએ કહ્યું, “હે મારા લોકો, હું તમને બાશાનથી પાછા લાવીશ, હું સમુદ્રના ઊંડાણોમાંથી તમને પાછા લાવીશ.
23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.
૨૩કે જેથી તું તારા શત્રુઓને શાપ આપે અને તેમના લોહીમાં તારો પગ બોળે અને જેથી તારા કૂતરાઓની જીભને તારા શત્રુઓનો ભાગ મળે.”
24 They have seen thy goings, O Elohim; even the goings of my El, my King, in the sanctuary.
૨૪હે ઈશ્વર, તેઓએ તમારી સવારી જોઈ છે, મારા ઈશ્વર, મારા રાજાના પવિત્રસ્થાનની સવારી તેઓએ જોઈ છે.
25 The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.
૨૫આગળ ગાયકો ચાલતા હતા, પાછળ વાજાં વગાડનારા ચાલતા હતા અને તેઓની વચમાં ખંજરી વગાડનારી કન્યાઓ ચાલતી હતી.
26 Bless ye Elohim in the congregations, even YHWH, from the fountain of Israel.
૨૬હે ભક્તમંડળ, તમે ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ કરો; ઇઝરાયલના વંશજો તમે યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરો.
27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
૨૭પ્રથમ ત્યાં બિન્યામીનનું નાનું કુળ આગેવાની આપે છે, પછી યહૂદાના આગેવાનો અને તેઓની સભા, ત્યારબાદ ઝબુલોનના આગેવાનો અને નફતાલીના આગેવાનો પણ ત્યાં છે.
28 Thy Elohim hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O Elohim, that which thou hast wrought for us.
૨૮તમારા ઈશ્વરે તમારું બળ સર્જ્યું છે; હે ઈશ્વર, જેમ ભૂતકાળમાં તમે તમારું સામર્થ્ય પ્રગટ કર્યું હતું તેમ અમને તમારું સામર્થ્ય પ્રગટ કરો.
29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.
૨૯કેમ કે યરુશાલેમના તમારા ઘરમાં રાજાઓ તમારી પાસે ભેટો લાવશે.
30 Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.
૩૦સરકટોમાં રહેનાર વન્ય પ્રાણીઓને ધમકાવો, બળદોનાં ટોળાં તથા વાછરડાં જેવા લોકોને પણ ઠપકો આપો. જે લોકો વિજયી થવા ચાહે છે, તેઓને તમારા પગ નીચે કચડી નાખો; જે લોકો યુદ્ધમાં રાજી હોય છે, તેઓને તમે વિખેરી નાખો.
31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto Elohim.
૩૧મિસરમાંથી રાજકુમારો આવશે; કૂશના લોકો જલદી ઈશ્વર આગળ હાથ જોડશે.
32 Sing unto Elohim, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the YHWH; (Selah)
૩૨હે પૃથ્વીના રાજ્યો, તમે ઈશ્વર માટે ગાઓ; (સેલાહ) યહોવાહનું સ્તવન કરો.
33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.
૩૩પુરાતન કાળનાં આકાશોનાં આકાશ પર સવારી કરનારનું સ્તવન કરો; જુઓ, તે પોતાની સામર્થ્યવાન વાણી કાઢે છે.
34 Ascribe ye strength unto Elohim: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
૩૪પરાક્રમ કેવળ ઈશ્વરનું છે; તેમની સત્તા ઇઝરાયલ પર છે અને તેમનું સામર્થ્ય આકાશોમાં છે.
35 O Elohim, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the El of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be Elohim.
૩૫હે ઈશ્વર, તમે તમારાં પવિત્રસ્થાનોમાં અતિ ભયાવહ છો; ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર પોતાના લોકોને સામર્થ્ય તથા બળ આપે છે. ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ થાઓ.
