Psalms 47

1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto Elohim with the voice of triumph.

Dem Vorsänger. Von den Kindern Korahs. Ein Psalm. Klatscht in die Hände, ihr Völker alle! Jauchzet Gott mit fröhlichem Schall!

2 For YHWH most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

Denn der HERR, der Höchste, ist zu fürchten, ein großer König über die ganze Erde.

3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

Er wird die Völker unter uns zwingen und die Nationen unter unsre Füße.

4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. (Selah)

Er wird uns unser Erbteil erwählen, den Stolz Jakobs, den er geliebt. (Pause)

5 Elohim is gone up with a shout, YHWH with the sound of a trumpet.

Gott ist aufgefahren mit Jauchzen, der HERR mit dem Schall der Posaune.

6 Sing praises to Elohim, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

Lobsinget, lobsinget Gott! Lobsinget, lobsinget unserm König!

7 For Elohim is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

Denn Gott ist König der ganzen Erde; lobsinget andächtig!

8 Elohim reigneth over the heathen: Elohim sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

Gott herrscht über die Völker, Gott sitzt auf seinem heiligen Thron.

9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the Elohim of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto Elohim: he is greatly exalted.

Die Edlen der Völker haben sich versammelt zum Volk des Gottes Abrahams; denn Gott gehören die Schilde der Erde; er ist sehr erhaben.
