< Psalms 43 >
1 Judge me, O Elohim, and plead my cause against an wicked nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against a faithless nation. Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
2 For thou art the Elohim of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
For you, God, are my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy mountain, To your tents.
4 Then will I go unto the altar of Elohim, unto El my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O Elohim my Elohim.
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in Elohim: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my Elohim.
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God. For I will again give him thanks, my saving presence and my God.
