Psalms 18
1 I will love thee, O YHWH, my strength.
Kumutungamiri wokuimba. Pisarema raDhavhidhi muranda waJehovha. Akaimbira Jehovha mashoko orwiyo urwu paakarwirwa naJehovha kubva mumaoko avavengi vake vose nomuruoko rwaSauro. Akati: Ndinokudai, imi Jehovha, simba rangu.
2 YHWH is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my El, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Jehovha ndiye dombo rangu, nhare yangu, murwiri wangu; Mwari wangu ndiye dombo rangu, wandinovanda maari. Ndiye nhoo yangu norunyanga rworuponeso rwangu, shongwe yangu.
3 I will call upon YHWH, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
Ndinodana kuna Jehovha, iye akafanira kurumbidzwa, uye ndinoponeswa kubva kuvavengi vangu.
4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of destruction made me afraid.
Mabote orufu akandipinganidza; mvura zhinji inoparadza yakandifukidza.
Mabote eguva akandimonera; misungo yorufu yakanangana neni. (Sheol h7585)
6 In my distress I called upon YHWH, and cried unto my Elohim: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Pakutambudzika kwangu ndakadana kuna Jehovha; ndakadana kuna Mwari wangu kuti ndibatsirwe. Akanzwa inzwi rangu ari mutemberi yake; kuchema kwangu kwakasvika pamberi pake munzeve dzake.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
Nyika yakadedera ikadengenyeka, uye nheyo dzamakomo dzakazunguzika;
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
Utsi hwakakwira huchibva mumhino dzake; moto unoparadza wakabuda mumuromo make, mazimbe anopisa akabuda mauri achipfuta.
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
Akatsemura matenga akauya pasi; makore erima akanga ari pasi petsoka dzake.
10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
Akatasva makerubhi akabhururuka; akabhururuka pamapapiro emhepo.
11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
Akaita rima chifukidzo chake, denga rake rakamupoteredza, iwo makore matema emvura okudenga.
12 At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
Nokupenya kwaibva pamberi pake, makore akabuda akafamba, nechimvuramabwe nokupenya kwemheni.
13 YHWH also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
Jehovha akatinhira kudenga; inzwi roWokumusoro-soro rikanzwika.
14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
Akapfura miseve yake akaparadzira vavengi vake, kupenya kukuru kwemheni kukavavhundutsa.
15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O YHWH, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
Mipata yegungwa yakaiswa pachena, uye nheyo dzenyika dzakaiswa pachena pakutuka kwenyu, imi Jehovha, nokufema kwemhino dzenyu.
16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
Akadzika pasi achibva kumusoro akanditora; akandibudisa pamvura zhinji yakadzika.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
Akandinunura kubva kuvavengi vangu vane simba, kubva kuvadzivisi vangu, vakanga vakasimba zvikuru kwandiri.
18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but YHWH was my stay.
Vakandinanga pazuva renjodzi yangu, asi Jehovha akanga ari mutsigiri wangu.
19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
Akandibudisa akandiisa panzvimbo yakafarikana; akandinunura nokuti akanga achindifarira.
20 YHWH rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
Jehovha akandiitira zvakafanira kururama kwangu; nokuchena kwamaoko angu.
21 For I have kept the ways of YHWH, and have not wickedly departed from my Elohim.
Nokuti ndakachengeta nzira dzaJehovha; handina kuita zvakaipa nokubva pana Mwari wangu.
22 For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
Mirayiro yake yose iri pamberi pangu; handina kutsauka pazvirevo zvake.
23 I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
Ndakanga ndisina chandingapomerwa pamberi pake, uye ndakazvichengeta kuti ndigare kure nechivi.
24 Therefore hath YHWH recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
Jehovha akandipa mubayiro zvakaringana nokururama kwangu, zvakaringana nokuchena kwamaoko angu pamberi pake.
25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
Kuna vakatendeka munoratidza kutendeka kwenyu, kuna vasina chavangapomerwa munoratidza kusapomerwa kwenyu,
26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
kuna vakachena munoratidza kuchena kwenyu, asi kuna vakatsauka munoratidza hasha dzenyu.
27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.
Munoponesa vanozvininipisa, asi muchideredza vane meso anozvikudza.
28 For thou wilt light my candle: YHWH my Elohim will enlighten my darkness.
Imi, iyemi Jehovha, munoita kuti mwenje wangu urambe uchipfuta; Mwari wangu anoshandura rima rangu richiva chiedza.
29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my Elohim have I leaped over a wall.
Norubatsiro rwenyu ndichaenda kundorwa hondo; naMwari wangu ndinogona kukwira rusvingo.
30 As for El, his way is perfect: the word of YHWH is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Kana ari Mwari, nzira yake yakakwana; shoko raJehovha harina charingapomerwa. Ndiye nhoo yavose vanovanda maari.
31 For who is Eloah save YHWH? or who is a rock save our Elohim?
Nokuti ndianiko Mwari kunze kwaJehovha? Uye ndianiko Dombo kunze kwaMwari wedu?
32 It is El that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
NdiMwari anondishongedza nesimba uye anokwanisa nzira yangu.
33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
Anoita kuti tsoka dzangu dzive setsoka dzenondo; anoita kuti ndigone kumira pakakwirira.
34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
Anodzidzisa maoko angu kurwa; maoko angu anowembura uta hwendarira.
35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Munondipa nhoo yenyu yokukunda, uye ruoko rwenyu rworudyi runonditsigira; munokotama pasi kuti mundiite mukuru.
36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
Munondiitira nzira yakapamhama pasi pangu, kuitira kuti zvitsitsinho zvangu zvirege kutedzemuka.
37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
Ndakatevera vavengi vangu ndikavabata; handina kudzokera shure kusvikira vaparadzwa.
38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
Ndakavapwanya kuti vakoniwe kusimuka; vakawira pasi petsoka dzangu.
39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
Makandishongedza nesimba rokurwa; makaita kuti vadzivisi vangu vapfugame patsoka dzangu.
40 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
Makaita kuti vavengi vangu vatize, uye ndakaparadza vavengi vangu.
41 They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto YHWH, but he answered them not.
Vakachemera kubatsirwa, asi hakuna akavaponesa, kunyange kuna Jehovha, asi haana kuvapindura.
42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
Ndakavapura vakatsetseka seguruva ratakurwa nemhepo; ndakavadururira pasi sedope renzira dzomumusha.
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
Makandirwira pakurwisa kwavanhu; makandiita musoro wendudzi; vanhu vandakanga ndisingazivi vava varanda vangu.
44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
Pavanongondinzwa, vanonditeerera; vatorwa vanokotama pamberi pangu.
45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
Vose vanoora mwoyo; vanouya vachibva panhare dzavo vachidedera.
46 YHWH liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the Elohim of my salvation be exalted.
Jehovha mupenyu! Dombo rangu ngarirumbidzwe! Ngaakudzwe Mwari Muponesi wangu!
47 It is El that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
Ndiye Mwari anonditsivira, anoisa ndudzi pasi pangu,
48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
anondiponesa pavavengi vangu. Makandisimudzira pamusoro pavavengi vangu. Makandinunura kubva kuvanhu vechisimba.
49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O YHWH, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
Naizvozvo ndichakurumbidzai pakati pendudzi, imi Jehovha; ndichaimbira zita renyu nziyo dzokurumbidza.
50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
Anopa mambo wake kukunda kukuru; anoratidza unyoro hwake husingaperi kumuzodziwa wake, kuna Dhavhidhi nokuvana vake nokusingaperi.
