< Psalms 144 >

1 Blessed be YHWH my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
David ƒe ha. Woakafu Yehowa, nye Agakpe la, ame si fia aʋawɔwɔ nye asi kple asibidɛwo.
2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
Enye nye Mawu lɔlɔ̃tɔ kple nye mɔ sesẽ, nye sitsoƒe kple nye xɔnametɔ kpakple nye akpoxɔnu, nye Mawu si me mebe ɖo, ame si bɔbɔ nye dukɔ ɖe tenye.
3 YHWH, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
O! Yehowa, nu kae nye amegbetɔ be nètsɔ ɖe le eme nɛ kple amegbetɔvi be nèbua eŋuti?
4 Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
Amegbetɔ le abe gbɔgbɔ ko ene, eye eƒe ŋkekewo le abe vɔvɔli si va yina kaba la ene.
5 Bow thy heavens, O YHWH, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
O! Yehowa, dze wò dziƒowo ne nàɖi va, eye nàka asi towo ŋu, be woatu dzudzɔ.
6 Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.
Dɔ dzikedzo ɖa woakaka futɔwo, da wò aŋutrɔ, eye nàtsrɔ̃ wo.
7 Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
Do wò asi ɖa tso dziƒo nàxɔ nam, eye nàɖem tso tsi sesẽwo kple amedzrowo ƒe asi me,
8 Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
ame siwo ƒe nu me yɔ fũu kple alakpa, eye woƒe nuɖusi blea ame.
9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O Elohim: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
O! Mawu, madzi ha yeye na wò, matsɔ kasaŋku, ka ewo tɔ aƒo ha na wò,
10 It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
wò ame si na dziɖuɖu fiawo, eye nèɖe wo dɔla David tso yi vɔ̃ɖi ƒe asi me.
11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
Xɔ nam, eye nàɖem tso amedzrowo ƒe asi me, ame siwo ƒe nu me yɔ fũu kple alakpa, eye woƒe nuɖusi blea ame.
12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
Ekema mía viŋutsuwo le woƒe ɖekakpuime, anɔ abe ati siwo wode tsii nyuie ene, eye mía vinyɔnuwo anɔ abe sɔti si ŋu wota nu ɖo hetsɔ ɖo atsyɔ̃e na fiasã ene.
13 That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:
Míaƒe avawo ayɔ fũu kple nuku vovovowo. Míaƒe alẽwo adzi ɖe edzi le akpewo kple akpe ewowo me le míaƒe lãnyiƒewo.
14 That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.
Nenema ke míaƒe nyiwo atsɔ agba kpekpewo vɛ. Ale gli gbagbã maganɔ anyi o, aboyomeyiyi maganɔ anyi o, eye xaxa ƒe avifafa magaɖi le míaƒe mɔtatawo dzi azɔ o.
15 Joyful is that people, that is in such a case: yea, joyful is that people, whose Elohim is YHWH.
Woayra dukɔ si wòava eme na alea le nyateƒe me; Woayra dukɔ si ƒe Mawue nye Yehowa.
