Psalms 130

1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O YHWH.

Une chanson d'ascension. Du fond de l'abîme, j'ai crié vers toi, Yahvé.

2 YHWH, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

Seigneur, entends ma voix. Que vos oreilles soient attentives à la voix de mes requêtes.

3 If thou, YAH, shouldest mark iniquities, O YHWH, who shall stand?

Si toi, Yah, tu enregistrais les péchés, Seigneur, qui pourrait le supporter?

4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Mais le pardon est avec vous, c'est pourquoi on vous craint.

5 I wait for YHWH, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

J'attends Yahvé. Mon âme attend. J'espère en sa parole.

6 My soul waiteth for YHWH more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

Mon âme aspire à l'Éternel plus que les sentinelles n'aspirent au matin, plus que des gardiens du matin.

7 Let Israel hope in YHWH: for with YHWH there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

Israël, espère en Yahvé, car il y a de la bonté chez Yahvé. La rédemption abondante est avec lui.

8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Il rachètera Israël de tous ses péchés.
