Psalms 129

1 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

Tangtlaeng Laa Ka camoe lamloh kai mat n'daengdaeh he Israel loh thui laeh saeh.

2 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

Ka camoe lamloh kai he mat n'daengdaeh uh dae kai he n'noeng moenih.

3 The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

Ka uen soah a thoe a thoe uh tih a hma sokah a hma te a yoe uh.

4 YHWH is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

Aka dueng BOEIPA loh halang rhoek kah rhuivaeh te a tlueh pah.

5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

Zion aka thiinah rhoek boeih tah yahpok uh saeh lamtah a hnuk la balkhong uh saeh.

6 Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

Imphu kah sulrham bangla om saeh. Te tah amah hmuen ah a rhae la a phuk.

7 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

Te te a ah tih a ban neh a kulup akhaw a kutpha dongah a bae moenih.

8 Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of YHWH be upon you: we bless you in the name of YHWH.

Te vaengah aka kongpa rhoek loh, “Nangmih soah BOEIPA kah yoethennah om saeh. BOEIPA ming neh nangmih te yoethen kan paek uh,” ti uh boel saeh.
