Psalms 116
1 I love YHWH, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
Jag har HERREN kär, ty han hör min röst och mina böner.
2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
Ja, han har böjt sitt öra till mig; i hela mitt liv skall jag åkalla honom.
3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell got hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
Dödens band omvärvde mig, och dödsrikets ångest grep mig; jag kom i nöd och bedrövelse. (Sheol h7585)
4 Then called I upon the name of YHWH; O YHWH, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
Men jag åkallade HERRENS namn: "Ack HERRE, rädda min själ."
5 Gracious is YHWH, and righteous; yea, our Elohim is merciful.
HERREN är nådig och rättfärdig, vår Gud är barmhärtig.
6 YHWH preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
HERREN bevarar de enfaldiga; jag var i elände, och han frälste mig.
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for YHWH hath dealt bountifully with thee.
Vänd nu åter till din ro, min själ, ty HERREN har gjort väl mot dig.
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
Ja, du har räddat min själ från döden, mitt öga från tårar, min fot ifrån fall;
9 I will walk before YHWH in the land of the living.
jag skall få vandra inför HERREN i de levandes land.
10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
Jag tror, ty därför talar jag, jag som var storligen plågad,
11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.
jag som måste säga i min ångest: "Alla människor äro lögnaktiga."
12 What shall I render unto YHWH for all his benefits toward me?
Huru skall jag vedergälla HERREN alla hans välgärningar mot mig?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of YHWH.
Jag vill taga frälsningens bägare och åkalla HERRENS namn.
14 I will pay my vows unto YHWH now in the presence of all his people.
Jag vill infria åt HERREN mina löften, ja, i hela hans folks åsyn.
15 Precious in the sight of YHWH is the death of his saints.
Dyrt aktad i HERRENS ögon är hans frommas död.
16 O YHWH, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
Ack HERRE, jag är ju din tjänare, jag är din tjänare, din tjänarinnas son; du har lossat mina band.
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of YHWH.
Dig vill jag offra lovets offer, och HERRENS namn vill jag åkalla.
18 I will pay my vows unto YHWH now in the presence of all his people,
Jag vill infria åt HERREN mina löften, ja, i hela hans folks åsyn,
19 In the courts of YHWH 's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye YHWH.
i gårdarna till HERRENS hus, mitt i dig, Jerusalem. Halleluja!
