Psalms 116
1 I love YHWH, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
わたしは主を愛する。主はわが声と、わが願いとを聞かれたからである。
2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
主はわたしに耳を傾けられたので、わたしは生きるかぎり主を呼びまつるであろう。
3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell got hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
死の綱がわたしを取り巻き、陰府の苦しみがわたしを捕えた。わたしは悩みと悲しみにあった。 (Sheol h7585)
4 Then called I upon the name of YHWH; O YHWH, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
その時わたしは主のみ名を呼んだ。「主よ、どうぞわたしをお救いください」と。
5 Gracious is YHWH, and righteous; yea, our Elohim is merciful.
主は恵みふかく、正しくいらせられ、われらの神はあわれみに富まれる。
6 YHWH preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
主は無学な者を守られる。わたしが低くされたとき、主はわたしを救われた。
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for YHWH hath dealt bountifully with thee.
わが魂よ、おまえの平安に帰るがよい。主は豊かにおまえをあしらわれたからである。
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
あなたはわたしの魂を死から、わたしの目を涙から、わたしの足をつまずきから助け出されました。
9 I will walk before YHWH in the land of the living.
わたしは生ける者の地で、主のみ前に歩みます。
10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
「わたしは大いに悩んだ」と言った時にもなお信じた。
11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.
わたしは驚きあわてたときに言った、「すべての人は当にならぬ者である」と。
12 What shall I render unto YHWH for all his benefits toward me?
わたしに賜わったもろもろの恵みについて、どうして主に報いることができようか。
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of YHWH.
わたしは救の杯をあげて、主のみ名を呼ぶ。
14 I will pay my vows unto YHWH now in the presence of all his people.
わたしはすべての民の前で、主にわが誓いをつぐなおう。
15 Precious in the sight of YHWH is the death of his saints.
主の聖徒の死はそのみ前において尊い。
16 O YHWH, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
主よ、わたしはあなたのしもべです。わたしはあなたのしもべ、あなたのはしための子です。あなたはわたしのなわめを解かれました。
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of YHWH.
わたしは感謝のいけにえをあなたにささげて、主のみ名を呼びます。
18 I will pay my vows unto YHWH now in the presence of all his people,
わたしはすべての民の前で主にわが誓いをつぐないます。
19 In the courts of YHWH 's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye YHWH.
エルサレムよ、あなたの中で、主の家の大庭の中で、これをつぐないます。主をほめたたえよ。
