Psalms 113

1 Praise ye YHWH. Praise, O ye servants of YHWH, praise the name of YHWH.

Halleluja! Lobet, ihr Knechte des HERRN, lobet den Namen des HERRN!

2 Blessed be the name of YHWH from this time forth and for evermore.

Gepriesen sei der Name des HERRN von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!

3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same YHWH 's name is to be praised.

Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei gelobt der Name des HERRN!

4 YHWH is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

Erhaben über alle Völker ist der HERR, den Himmel überragt seine Herrlichkeit!

5 Who is like unto YHWH our Elohim, who dwelleth on high,

Wer ist dem HERRN gleich, unserm Gott, der da thront in der Höhe,

6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

der niederschaut in die Tiefe, im Himmel und auf Erden?

7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

Er hebt aus dem Staub den Geringen empor und erhöht aus dem Schmutz den Armen,

8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

um ihn sitzen zu lassen neben Edlen, neben den Edlen seines Volks.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye YHWH.

Er verleiht der kinderlosen Gattin Hausrecht, macht sie zur fröhlichen Mutter von Kindern. Halleluja!
