Proverbs 9
1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
၁ဉာဏ်ပညာ သည်အိမ်တိုင် ခုနစ် တိုင်ကိုခုတ် ၍၊ မိမိ နေရာအိမ် ကို ဆောက် လေပြီ။
2 She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
၂သူ ၏အကောင် များကိုသတ် ၍၊ စပျစ်ရည် ကို ဘော် ပြီးမှစားပွဲ ကို ခင်း လေပြီ။
3 She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
၃ကျွန် မတို့ကိုစေလွှတ် ၍၊ မြို့ တွင် အမြင့်ဆုံး သော အရပ်တို့၌ ကြွေးကြော် လေသည်ကား၊
4 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
၄ဉာဏ် တိမ်သောသူ သည် ဤ အရပ်သို့ဝင် စေ။ အိုပညာ မ ရှိသောသူ၊
5 Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
၅လာ လော့။ ငါ့ မုန့် ကို စား လော့။ ငါဘော် သော စပျစ်ရည် ကို သောက် လော့။
6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
၆မိုက် သောသူကို ရှောင် ၍ အသက် ချမ်းသာရ လော့။ ပညာ လမ်း သို့ လိုက် လော့ဟုဆိုသတည်း။
7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
၇မထီမဲ့မြင် ပြုသောသူကို ဆုံးမ သောသူသည် အရှက်ကွဲ ခြင်းကို၎င်း ၊ လူဆိုး ကို အပြစ် ပြသောသူသည် ကဲ့ရဲ့ ခြင်းကို၎င်းခံရ လိမ့်မည်။
8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
၈မထီမဲ့မြင် ပြုသောသူကိုမ ဆုံးမ နှင့်။ သင့် ကို မုန်း လိမ့်မည်။ ပညာ ရှိကို အပြစ် ပြလော့။ သူသည် သင့် ကို ချစ် လိမ့်မည်။
9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
၉ပညာ ရှိသော သူကို ဆုံးမ လျှင် ၊ သူသည် သာ၍ပညာ ရှိလိမ့်မည်။ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူကို သွန်သင် လျှင် ၊ သူသည် သိပ္ပံ အတတ်တိုးပွါး လိမ့်မည်။
10 The fear of YHWH is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
၁၀ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ သော သဘောသည် ပညာ ၏မူလ အမြစ် ဖြစ်၏။ သန့်ရှင်း တော်မူသောဘုရားကိုသိကျွမ်း သော သဘောသည် ဉာဏ် ဖြစ်၏။
11 For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
၁၁အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ငါ့ ကိုအမှီပြု ၍၊ သင် ၏ နေ့ရက် ကာလနှင့် အသက် အပိုင်းအခြား နှစ် ပေါင်း ကာလ တိုးပွါး လိမ့်မည်။
12 If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
၁၂သင်သည်ပညာ ရှိလျှင် ၊ ကိုယ်တိုင် အကျိုးကို ခံရလိမ့်မည်။ မထီမဲ့မြင် ပြုလျှင် ကိုယ်တိုင် သာအပြစ် ကိုခံရလိမ့်မည်။
13 A foolish woman is clamourous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
၁၃မိုက် သောမိန်းမ သည် စကား သံကျယ်၍ ဉာဏ် တိမ်သဖြင့် အလျှင်း မ သိ တတ်။
14 For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
၁၄မိမိ အိမ် တံခါး နားတွင် မြို့ မြင့် ရာအရပ် အနေအထိုင်ပေါ် မှာ ထိုင် လျက်၊
15 To call passengers who go right on their ways:
၁၅လမ်း ၌ တည့်တည့် ခရီး သွားသောသူတို့ ကို ခေါ် ၍၊
16 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
၁၆ဉာဏ် တိမ်သောသူ သည် ဤ အရပ်သို့ဝင် စေ။ အိုပညာ မ ရှိသောသူ၊
17 Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
၁၇ခိုး သောရေ သည် ချို ၏။ တိတ်ဆိတ် စွာစား သောမုန့် လည်း မြိန် သည်ဟု ဆို တတ်၏။
