< Proverbs 7 >
1 My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
Na-agbaso okwu m nwa m, nọgide na ya, dokwaa iwu m niile nʼime obi gị.
2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
Debe iwu m ka ị dị ndụ, chee ozizi m nche dịka ọ bụ mkpụrụ anya gị.
3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.
Kee ha na mkpịsịaka gị, deekwa ha nʼelu mbadamba nkume, bụ obi gị.
4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
Hụ amamihe nʼanya dịka nwaagbọghọ ị hụrụ nʼanya; hụkwa inwe nghọta nʼanya dịka a ga-asị na ọ bụ nwanne gị.
5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
Kwee ka ha debe gị, ka ị ghara ijekwuru nwanyị na-akwa iko, ka ị gharakwa ịṅa ntị nʼokwu ire ụtọ ya.
6 For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
Nʼihi na otu ụbọchị, esi m na oghereikuku dị nʼụlọ m lepụ anya,
7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,

10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
Mgbe ahụ, nwanyị ahụ pụtara zute ya. O yi uwe dịka nwanyị akwụna, jiri aghụghọ na-abịakwute ya.
11 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
(Ọ na-eme ụzụ na-aṅaghị ntị ịnụ ihe ọbụla. Ụkwụ ya anaghị anọgide nʼụlọ ya.
12 Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
Ọ na-akwụgharị ma nʼokporoụzọ ma nʼama; na-amịgharị nʼebe nzuzo niile.)

20 He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.
O ji akpa ego juru gaa njem, abalị ole na ole ga-agafekwa tupu ọ lọta.”
21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. (Sheol )
