Proverbs 15
1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
回答柔和，使怒消退； 言語暴戾，觸動怒氣。
2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
智慧人的舌善發知識； 愚昧人的口吐出愚昧。
3 The eyes of YHWH are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
耶和華的眼目無處不在； 惡人善人，他都鑒察。
4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
溫良的舌是生命樹； 乖謬的嘴使人心碎。
5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
愚妄人藐視父親的管教； 領受責備的，得着見識。
6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
義人家中多有財寶； 惡人得利反受擾害。
7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.
智慧人的嘴播揚知識； 愚昧人的心並不如此。
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to YHWH: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
惡人獻祭，為耶和華所憎惡； 正直人祈禱，為他所喜悅。
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto YHWH: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
惡人的道路，為耶和華所憎惡； 追求公義的，為他所喜愛。
10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.
捨棄正路的，必受嚴刑； 恨惡責備的，必致死亡。
11 Hell and destruction are before YHWH: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? (Sheol h7585)
陰間和滅亡尚在耶和華眼前， 何況世人的心呢？ (Sheol h7585)
12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
褻慢人不愛受責備； 他也不就近智慧人。
13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
心中喜樂，面帶笑容； 心裏憂愁，靈被損傷。
14 The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
聰明人心求知識； 愚昧人口吃愚昧。
15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
困苦人的日子都是愁苦； 心中歡暢的，常享豐筵。
16 Better is little with the fear of YHWH than great treasure and trouble therewith.
少有財寶，敬畏耶和華， 強如多有財寶，煩亂不安。
17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
吃素菜，彼此相愛， 強如吃肥牛，彼此相恨。
18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
暴怒的人挑啟爭端； 忍怒的人止息紛爭。
19 The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.
懶惰人的道像荊棘的籬笆； 正直人的路是平坦的大道。
20 A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
智慧子使父親喜樂； 愚昧人藐視母親。
21 Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.
無知的人以愚妄為樂； 聰明的人按正直而行。
22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellers they are established.
不先商議，所謀無效； 謀士眾多，所謀乃成。
23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
口善應對，自覺喜樂； 話合其時，何等美好。
智慧人從生命的道上升， 使他遠離在下的陰間。 (Sheol h7585)
25 YHWH will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
耶和華必拆毀驕傲人的家， 卻要立定寡婦的地界。
26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to YHWH: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
惡謀為耶和華所憎惡； 良言乃為純淨。
27 He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
貪戀財利的，擾害己家； 恨惡賄賂的，必得存活。
28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
義人的心，思量如何回答； 惡人的口吐出惡言。
29 YHWH is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
耶和華遠離惡人， 卻聽義人的禱告。
30 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
眼有光，使心喜樂； 好信息，使骨滋潤。
31 The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
聽從生命責備的， 必常在智慧人中。
32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
棄絕管教的，輕看自己的生命； 聽從責備的，卻得智慧。
33 The fear of YHWH is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
敬畏耶和華是智慧的訓誨； 尊榮以前，必有謙卑。
