Matthew 7
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Não julgueis, para que não sejais julgados.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Porque com o juízo que julgardes sereis julgados; e com a medida que medirdes vos medirão.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Ora, por que vês o cisco que está no olho de teu irmão e não enxergas a trave que está em teu próprio olho?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Ou como dirás a teu irmão: “Deixa-me tirar o cisco do teu olho”, se eis que há uma trave em teu próprio olho?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Hipócrita! Tira primeiro a trave do teu olho, e então verás claramente para tirar o cisco do olho de teu irmão.
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Não deis o que é santo aos cães, nem lanceis vossas pérolas diante dos porcos, para não acontecer de as pisarem com os pés e, virando-se, vos despedacem.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Pedi, e vos será dado; buscai, e achareis; batei, e vos será aberto;
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Pois qualquer um que pede recebe; e quem busca acha; e ao que bate lhe é aberto.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
E quem há dentre vós que, se seu filho pedir pão, lhe dará uma pedra?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
E se pedir peixe, lhe dará uma serpente?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Ora, se vós, sendo maus, sabeis dar bons presentes a vossos filhos, quanto mais o vosso Pai, que está nos céus, dará coisas boas aos que lhe pedirem!
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Portanto tudo o que quiserdes que os outros vos façam, fazei-lhes vós também assim; porque esta é a Lei e os Profetas.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Entrai pela porta estreita; porque larga é a porta, e espaçoso o caminho que leva à perdição; e muitos são os que por ela entram.
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Porque estreita é a porta, e apertado o caminho que leva à vida; e são poucos os que a acham.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Tende cuidado, com os falsos profetas, que vêm a vós com roupa de ovelhas, mas por dentro são lobos vorazes.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Vós os conhecereis pelos seus frutos. Por acaso se colhem uvas dos espinheiros, ou figos dos cardos?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Assim toda boa árvore dá bons frutos, mas a arvore má dá frutos maus.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
A boa árvore não pode dar frutos maus, nem a árvore má dar bons frutos.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Toda árvore que não dá bom fruto é cortada e lançada ao fogo.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Portanto vós os conhecereis pelos seus frutos.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, My Master, My Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Não é qualquer um que me diz: “Senhor, Senhor” que entrará no Reino dos céus; mas sim aquele que faz a vontade do meu Pai que está nos céus.
22 Many will say to me in that day, My master, my master, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Muitos me dirão naquele dia: “Senhor, Senhor! Não profetizamos em teu nome? E em teu nome não expulsamos os demônios? E em teu nome não fizemos muitas maravilhas?”
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Então claramente lhes direi: “Nunca vos conheci. Afastai-vos de mim, transgressores!”
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Portanto todo o que ouve estas minhas palavras e as pratica será comparado ao homem prudente, que construiu sua casa sobre a rocha.
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
E a chuva desceu, correntezas vieram, ventos sopraram, e atingiram aquela casa; e ela não caiu, porque estava fundada sobre a rocha.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Porém todo o que ouve estas minhas palavras e não as pratica, eu o compararei ao homem tolo, que construiu sua casa sobre a areia.
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
E a chuva desceu, correntezas vieram, ventos sopraram, e atingiram aquela casa; e ela caiu, e sua queda foi grande.
28 And it came to pass, when Yahushua had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
E aconteceu que, quando Jesus terminou estas palavras, as multidões estavam admiradas de sua doutrina,
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
porque ele os ensinava como tendo autoridade, e não como os seus escribas.
