< Job 27 >

1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
Nake Ayubu agĩthiĩ na mbere na mĩario yake, akiuga atĩrĩ:
2 As El liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;
“Ti-itherũ o ta ũrĩa Mũrungu atũũraga muoyo, o we ũnyimĩte kĩhooto, ũcio Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, ũrĩa ũtũmĩte ngĩe na ũrũrũ ngoro-inĩ-rĩ,
3 All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of Eloah is in my nostrils;
hĩndĩ ĩrĩa yothe niĩ ngũtũũra muoyo, nayo mĩhũmũ ya Ngai ĩrĩ maniũrũ-inĩ makwa,
4 My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
mĩromo yakwa ndĩkaaria maũndũ ma waganu, na rũrĩmĩ rwakwa rũtikaaria maheeni.
5 Elohim forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
Niĩ ndigetĩkĩra atĩ nĩ inyuĩ mũrĩ na kĩhooto; nginya rĩrĩa ngaakua, ndigakaana ũkindĩrĩku wakwa.
6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
Nĩngũtũũria ũthingu wakwa na ndikaũrekia; thamiri yakwa ndĩkanjiirithia rĩrĩa rĩothe ngũtũũra muoyo.
7 Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
“Thũ ciakwa irogĩtuĩka ta arĩa aaganu, arĩa marĩ muku na niĩ marotuĩka ta arĩa matarĩ kĩhooto!
8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when Eloah taketh away his soul?
Tondũ-rĩ, kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro kĩa ũrĩa ũtarĩ mwĩtigĩri Ngai gĩkĩrĩ kĩrĩkũ akua, hĩndĩ ĩrĩa Ngai ooya muoyo wake?
9 Will El hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
Mũrungu nĩakĩiguaga gũkaya gwake rĩrĩa akorwo nĩ mĩnyamaro?
10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon Eloah?
Nĩakenagĩra ũcio Mwene-Hinya-Wothe? Nĩakayagĩra Ngai mahinda mothe?
11 I will teach you by the hand of El: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
“Nĩngũmũruta ũhoro wĩgiĩ ũhoti wa Mũrungu; ndikũhitha njĩra cia Mwene-Hinya-Wothe.
12 Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?
Inyuothe nĩmwĩoneire maũndũ macio. Ĩkĩrĩ yakĩ mĩario ĩno ĩtarĩ kĩene?
13 This is the portion of a wicked man with El, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
“Ũũ nĩguo Mũrungu aathagĩrĩria arĩa aaganu, na nĩrĩo igai rĩrĩa mũndũ ũrĩa ũtarĩ tha aamũkagĩra kuuma kũrĩ Mwene-Hinya-Wothe:
14 If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
O na ciana ciake ciaingĩha atĩa, ciathĩrĩirio rũhiũ rwa njora; rũciaro rwake rũtikoona irio cia kũrũigana.
15 Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.
Mũthiro nĩguo ũkaaninũkia arĩa agaatiga thuutha wake, na atumia ao a ndigwa matikamarĩrĩra.
16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
O na angĩonganĩrĩria betha ta rũkũngũ, na agĩe na nguo nyingĩ ta hĩba cia rĩũmba,
17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
kĩrĩa egũcookanĩrĩria gĩkehumbwo nĩ ũrĩa mũthingu, na arĩa matarĩ mahĩtia nĩo makaagayana betha yake.
18 He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.
Nyũmba ĩrĩa aakaga no ta nyũmba ya kĩĩhuruta, ningĩ no ta gĩthũnũ gĩakĩtwo nĩ mũrangĩri.
19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
Agaakoma arĩ mũtongu, no ndagacooka gwĩka ũguo rĩngĩ; akaahingũra maitho akore gũtirĩ kĩndũ arĩ nakĩo.
20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
Imakania imũkoragĩrĩra ta mũiyũro wa maaĩ; kĩhuhũkanio gĩkaamũhuria ũtukũ.
21 The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.
Rũhuho rwa mwena wa Irathĩro rũmuoyaga akabuĩria; rũmweheragia kũrĩa atũũraga.
22 For Elohim shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
Rũmũhurutaga rũtarĩ na tha o rĩrĩa aroorĩra hinya waruo.
23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
Rũhũũraga hĩ rũkamũkenerera, na rũkagamba ta nyoka rũkamũruta kũrĩa atũũraga.”
