Jeremiah 49
1 Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith YHWH; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities?
アンモン人の事につきてヱホバかくいひたまふイスラエルに子なからんや嗣子なからんや何なれば彼らの王ガドを受嗣ぎ彼の民その邑々に住や
2 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith YHWH, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith YHWH.
ヱホバいひたまふ是故に視よわが戰鬪の號呼をアンモン人のラバに聞えしむる日いたらんラバは荒垤となりその女等は火に焚れんその時イスラエルはおのれの嗣者となりし者等の嗣者となるべしヱホバこれをいひたまふ
3 Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.
ヘシボンよ咷べアイは滅びたりラバの女たちよ呼はれ麻布を身にまとひ嗟て籬のうちに走れマルカムとその祭司およびその牧伯等は偕に擄へ移されたり
4 Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me?
汝何なれば谷の事を誇るや背ける女よ汝の谷は流るるなり汝財貨に倚賴みていふ誰か我に來らんと
5 Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Master YHWH of hosts, from all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth.
主なる萬軍のヱホバいひたまふ視よ我畏懼を汝の四周の者より汝に來らしめん汝らおのおの逐れて直にすすまん逃る者を集むる人無るべし
6 And afterward I will bring again the captivity of the children of Ammon, saith YHWH.
然ど後にいたりてわれアンモン人の擄移されたる者を返さんとヱホバいひたまふ
7 Concerning Edom, thus saith YHWH of hosts; Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?
エドムの事につきて萬軍のヱホバかくいひたまふテマンの中には智慧あることなきにいたりしや明哲者には謀略あらずなりしやその智慧は盡はてしや
8 Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him.
デダンに住る者よ逃よ遁れよ深く竄れよ我エサウの滅亡をかれの上にのぞませ彼を罰する時をきたらしむべし
9 If grapegatherers come to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough.
葡萄を斂むる者もし汝に來らば少許の果をも餘さざらんもし夜間盜人きたらばその飽まで滅さん
10 But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.
われエサウを裸にし又その隱處を露にせん彼は身を匿すことをえざるべしその裔も兄弟も隣舍も滅されん而して彼は在ずなるべし
11 Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.
汝の孤子を遺せわれ之を生存へしめん汝の嫠は我に倚賴むべし
12 For thus saith YHWH; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it.
ヱホバかくいひ給ふ視よ杯を飮べきにあらざる者もこれを飮ざるをえざるなれば汝まつたく罰を免るることをえんや汝は罰を免れじ汝これを飮ざるべからず
13 For I have sworn by myself, saith YHWH, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.
ヱホバいひたまふ我おのれを指して誓ふボズラは詫異となり羞辱となり荒地となり呪詛とならんその諸邑は永く荒地となるべし
14 I have heard a rumour from YHWH, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
われヱホバより音信をきけり使者遣されて萬國にいたり汝ら集りて彼に攻めきたり起て戰へよといへり
15 For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.
視よわれ汝を萬國の中に小者となし人々の中に藐めらるる者となせり
16 Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence saith YHWH.
磐の隱場にすみ山の高處を占る者よ汝の恐ろしき事と汝の心の驕傲汝を欺けり汝鷹のごとくに巢を高き處に作りたれどもわれ其處より汝を取り下さんとヱホバいひたまふ
17 Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.
エドムは詫異とならん凡そ其處を過る者は驚きその災害のために笑ふべし
18 As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith YHWH, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.
ヱホバいひたまふソドムとゴモラとその隣の邑々の滅しがごとく其處に住む人なく其處に宿る人の子なかるべし
19 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
視よ敵獅子のヨルダンの叢より上るがごとく堅き宅に攻めきたらんわれ直に彼を其處より逐奔らせわが選みたる者をその上に立てん誰か我のごとき者あらん誰か我爲に時期を定めんや孰の牧者か我前にたつことをえん
20 Therefore hear the counsel of YHWH, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.
さればエドムにつきてヱホバの謀りたまひし御謀とテマンに住る者につきて思ひたまひし思をきけ群の弱者はかならず曳ゆかれん彼かならずかれらの住宅を滅すべし
21 The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea.
その傾圮の響によりて地は震ふ號咷ありその聲紅海にきこゆ
22 Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
みよ彼鷹のごとくに上り飛びその翼をボズラの上に舒べんその日エドムの勇士の心は子を產む婦の心の如くならん
23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
ダマスコの事 ハマテとアルパデは羞づそは凶き音信をきけばなり彼らは心を喪へり海の上に恐懼あり安き者なし
24 Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.
ダマスコは弱り身をめぐらして逃んとす恐懼これに及び憂愁と痛劬子を產む婦にあるごとくこれにおよぶ
25 How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!
頌美ある邑我欣ぶところの邑を何なれば棄さらざるや
26 Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith YHWH of hosts.
さればその日に壯者は街に仆れ兵卒は悉く滅されんと萬軍のヱホバいひたまふ
27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Ben-hadad.
われ火をダマスコの石垣の上に燃しベネハダデの殿舍をことごとく焚くべし
28 Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite, thus saith YHWH; Arise ye, go up to Kedar, and spoil the men of the east.
バビロンの王ネブカデネザルが攻め撃たるケダルとハゾルの諸國の事につきて／ヱホバかくいひたまふ汝ら起てケダルに上り東の衆人を滅せ
29 Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry unto them, Fear is on every side.
その幕屋とその羊の群は彼等これを取りその幕とその諸の器と駱駝とは彼等これを奪ひとらん人これに向ひ惶懼四方にありと呼るべし
30 Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith YHWH; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.
ヱホバいひたまふハゾルに住る者よ逃よ急に走りゆき深き處に居れバビロンの王ネブカデネザル汝らをせむる謀略を運らし汝らをせむる術計を設けたればなり
31 Arise, get you up unto the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith YHWH, which have neither gates nor bars, which dwell alone.
ヱホバいひ給ふ汝ら起て穩なる安かに住める民の所に攻め上れ彼らは門もなく關もなくして獨り居ふなり
32 And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil: and I will scatter into all winds them that are in the utmost corners; and I will bring their calamity from all sides thereof, saith YHWH.
その駱駝は擄掠とせられその多の畜は奪はれん我かの毛の角を剪る者を四方に散しその滅亡を八方より來らせんとヱホバいひたまふ
33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man dwell in it.
ハゾルは山犬の窟となり何までも荒蕪となりをらん彼處に住む人なく彼處に宿る人の子なかるべし
34 The word of YHWH that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,
ユダの王ゼデキヤが位に即し初のころヱホバの言預言者ヱレミヤに臨みてエラムの事をいふ
35 Thus saith YHWH of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.
萬軍のヱホバかくいひたまふ視よわれエラムが權能として賴むところの弓を折らん
36 And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
われ天の四方より四方の風をエラムに來らせ彼らを四方の風に散さんエラムより追出さるる者のいたらざる國はなかるべし
37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them even my fierce anger, saith YHWH; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:
ヱホバいひたまふわれエラムをしてその敵の前とその生命を索むるものの前に懼れしめん我災をくだし我烈しき怒をその上にいたらせんまたわれ劍をその後につかはしてこれを滅し盡すべし
38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith YHWH.
われ我位をエラムに居ゑ王と牧伯等を其處より滅したたんとヱホバいひたまふ
39 But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith YHWH.
然ど末の日にいたりてわれエラムの擄移されたる者を返すべしとヱホバいひたまふ
