< Isaiah 12 >
1 And in that day thou shalt say, O YHWH, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
In that day you will say, “I will give thanks to you, Adonai; for though you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you comfort me.
2 Behold, El is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for YAH YHWH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Behold, God is my yishu'ah ·salvation·. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, Adonai, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation.”
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
Therefore with joy you will draw water out of the wells of yishu'ah ·salvation·.
4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise YHWH, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
In that day you will say, “Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai! Call on his name. Declare his doings among the peoples. Proclaim that his name is exalted!
5 Sing unto YHWH; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
Sing zahmar ·musical praise· to Adonai, for he has done excellent things! Let this be known in all the earth!
6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]; for haKadosh Isra'el [the Holy One of God prevails] is great among you!”
