Exodus 20
1 And Elohim spake all these words, saying,
神この一切の言を宣て言たまはく
2 I am YHWH thy Elohim, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
我は汝の神ヱホバ汝をエジプトの地その奴隸たる家より導き出せし者なり
3 Thou shalt have no other elohim before me.
汝我面の前に我の外何物をも神とすべからず
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
汝自己のために何の偶像をも彫むべからず又上は天にある者下は地にある者ならびに地の下の水の中にある者の何の形状をも作るべからず
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I YHWH thy Elohim am a jealous Elohim, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
之を拝むべからずこれに事ふべからず我ヱホバ汝の神は嫉む神なれば我を惡む者にむかひては父の罪を子にむくいて三四代におよぼし
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
我を愛しわが誡命を守る者には恩惠をほどこして千代にいたるなり
7 Thou shalt not take the name of YHWH thy Elohim in vain; for YHWH will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
汝の神ヱホバの名を妄に口にあぐべからずヱホバはおのれの名を妄に口にあぐる者を罰せではおかざるべし
8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
安息日を憶えてこれを聖潔すべし
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
六日の間勞きて汝の一切の業を爲べし
10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of YHWH thy Elohim: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
七日は汝の神ヱホバの安息なれば何の業務をも爲べからず汝も汝の息子息女も汝の僕婢も汝の家畜も汝の門の中にをる他國の人も然り
11 For in six days YHWH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore YHWH blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
其はヱホバ六日の中に天と地と海と其等の中の一切の物を作りて第七日に息みたればなり是をもてヱホバ安息日を祝ひて聖日としたまふ
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which YHWH thy Elohim giveth thee.
汝の父母を敬へ是は汝の神ヱホバの汝にたまふ所の地に汝の生命の長からんためなり
13 Thou shalt not kill.
汝殺すなかれ
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
汝姦淫するなかれ
15 Thou shalt not steal.
汝盗むなかれ
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
汝その隣人に對して虚妄の證據をたつるなかれ
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
汝その隣人の家を貧るなかれ又汝の鄰人の妻およびその僕婢牛驢馬ならびに凡て汝の隣人の所有を貧るなかれ
18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
民みな雷と電と喇叭の音と山の煙るとを見たり民これを見て懼れをののきて遠く立ち
19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not Elohim speak with us, lest we die.
モーセにいひけるは汝われらに語れ我等聽ん唯神の我らに語りたまふことあらざらしめよ恐くは我等死ん
20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for Elohim is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
モーセ民に言けるは畏るるなかれ神汝らを試みんため又その畏怖を汝らの面の前におきて汝らに罪を犯さざらしめんために臨みたまへるなり
21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where Elohim was.
是において民は遠くに立ちしがモーセは神の在すところの濃雲に進みいたる
22 And YHWH said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
ヱホバ、モーセに言たまひけるは汝イスラエルの子孫に斯いふべし汝等は天よりわが汝等に語ふを見たり
23 Ye shall not make with me elohim of silver, neither shall ye make unto you elohim of gold.
汝等何をも我にならべて造るべからず銀の神をも金の神をも汝等のために造るべからず
24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
汝土の壇を我に築きてその上に汝の燔祭と酬恩祭汝の羊と牛をそなふべし我は凡てわが名を憶えしむる處にて汝に臨みて汝を祝まん
25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
汝もし石の壇を我につくるならば琢石をもてこれを築くべからず其は汝もし鑿をこれに當なば之を汚すべければなり
26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
汝階よりわが壇に升るべからず是汝の恥る處のその上に露るることなからんためなり
