Colossians 2
1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
我なんぢら及びラオデキヤに居る人々、その他すべて我が肉體の顏をまだ見ぬ人のために、如何に苦心するかを汝らの知らんことを欲す。
2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of YHWH, the Father, and of the Messiah;
かく苦心するは、彼らが心 慰められ、愛をもて相 列り、全き穎悟の凡ての富を得て、神の奧義なるキリストを知らん爲なり。
3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
キリストには知慧と知識との凡ての寶 藏れあり。
4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
我これを言ふは、巧なる言をもて人の汝らを欺くこと勿らん爲なり。
5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in the Messiah.
われ肉體にては汝らと離れ居れど、靈にては汝らと偕に居りて喜び、また汝らの秩序あるとキリストに對する信仰の堅きとを見るなり。
6 As ye have therefore received the Messiah Yahushua the Master, so walk ye in him:
汝らキリスト・イエスを主として受けたるにより、其のごとく彼に在りて歩め。
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
また彼に根ざしてその上に建てられ、かつ教へられし如く信仰を堅くし、溢るるばかり感謝せよ。
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after the Messiah.
なんぢら心すべし、恐らくはキリストに從はずして人の言傳と世の小學とに從ひ、人を惑す虚しき哲學をもて汝らを奪ひ去る者あらん。
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the might in bodily form.
それ神の滿ち足れる徳はことごとく形體をなしてキリストに宿れり。
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
汝らは彼に在りて滿ち足れるなり。彼は凡ての政治と權威との首なり。
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of the Messiah:
汝らまた彼に在りて手をもてせざる割禮を受けたり、即ち肉の體を脱ぎ去るものにして、キリストの割禮なり。
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of YHWH, who hath raised him from the dead.
汝らバプテスマを受けしとき、彼とともに葬られ、又かれを死人の中より甦へらせ給ひし神の活動を信ずるによりて、彼と共に甦へらせられたり。
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
汝ら前には諸般の咎と肉の割禮なきとに因りて死にたる者なりしが、神は汝らを彼と共に生かし、我らの凡ての咎を赦し、
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
かつ我らを責むる規の證書、すなはち我らに逆ふ證書を塗抹し、これを中間より取り去りて十字架につけ、
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
政治と權威とを褫ぎて之を公然に示し、十字架によりて凱旋し給へり。
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:
然れば汝ら食物あるひは飮物につき、祭あるいは月朔あるいは安息 日の事につきて、誰にも審かるな。
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body of the Messiah.
此 等はみな來らんとする者の影にして、其の本體はキリストに屬けり。
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
殊更に謙遜をよそほひ御使を拜する者に、汝らの褒美を奪はるな。かかる者は見し所のものに基き、肉の念に隨ひて徒らに誇り、
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of Elohim.
首に屬くことをせざるなり。全體は、この首によりて節々 維々に助けられ、相 聯り、神の育にて生長するなり。
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with the Messiah from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
汝 等もしキリストと共に死にて此の世の小學を離れしならば、何ぞなほ世に生ける者のごとく人の誡命と教とに循ひて
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
『捫るな、味ふな、觸るな』と云ふ規の下に在るか。
22 Which all are to perish with the using; ) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
（此 等はみな用ふれば盡くる物なり）
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
これらの誡命は、みづから定めたる禮拜と謙遜と身を惜まぬ事とによりて知慧あるごとく見ゆれど、實は肉 慾の放縱を防ぐ力なし。
