< Acts 5 >

1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
Ɔbarima bi a wɔfrɛ no Anania ne ne yere Safira kɔtɔn wɔn agyapade bi.
2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
Ɔne ne yere yi yɛɛ adwene de sika a wonyae no bi siei, na wɔde nkae no brɛɛ asomafo no.
3 But Kepha said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Petro bisaa no se, “Anania, adɛn nti na woama ɔbonsam ho kwan ama wabɛhyɛ wo mu na woadi atoro akyerɛ Honhom Kronkron no na wode sika a wunyaa no bi asie?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto YHWH.
Ansa na worebɛtɔn agyapade no na ɛnyɛ wʼankasa wo de; wotɔn wiee no nso sika a wunyae no, na ɛnyɛ wo de; na adɛn nti na woyɛɛ wʼadwene sɛ wobɛyɛ nea woayɛ yi? Ɛnyɛ nnipa na woadi atoro akyerɛ wɔn, na mmom woadi atoro akyerɛ Onyankopɔn.”
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the spirit: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
Anania tee saa asɛm yi ara pɛ, otwa hwee fam wui; na ehu kaa obiara a ɔtee saa asɛm no.
6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
Wɔn mu mmerante no ba bɛkyekyeree amu no fii adi kosiee no.
7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
Ɛbɛyɛ nnɔnhwerew abiɛsa akyi no, ne yere a na onnim asɛm a asi no baa hɔ.
8 And Kepha answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
Petro bisaa no se, “Wo ne wo kunu, motɔn mo asase no, sika a munyae nyinaa ara ni? Ka kyerɛ me.” Obuaa se, “Yiw ne nyinaa ne no.”
9 Then Kepha said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of YHWH? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
Petro ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Adɛn nti na wo ne wo kunu penee so sɛ mobɛsɔ Onyankopɔn Honhom ahwɛ? Hwɛ! Nnipa a wokosiee wo kunu no gyina ɔpon yi akyi, na saa ara na wo nso, wɔbɛsoa wo akosie wo.”
10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the spirit: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
Amono mu hɔ ara, otwa hwee Petro anim wui. Mmerante no behuu sɛ wawu no, wɔsoaa no kosiee no wɔ ne kunu nkyɛn.
11 And great fear came upon all the assembly, and upon as many as heard these things.
Ehu kɛse bɔɔ asafo no nyinaa ne nnipa a wɔtee saa asɛm no.
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
Na asomafo no taa hyia wɔ asɔredan no fa baabi a wɔfrɛ no “Salomo Abrannaa” so hɔ. Sɛ wohyia wɔ hɔ saa a, wɔyɛ anwonwade ahorow pii.
13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.

14 And believers were the more added to YHWH, multitudes both of men and women.)

15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Kepha passing by might overshadow some of them.

16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
Nkurɔfo a wofifi nkurow a atwa Yerusalem ho ahyia no de wɔn ayarefo ne wɔn a ahonhommɔne wɔ wɔn mu no ba ma wɔsaa wɔn nyinaa yare.
17 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees, ) and were filled with indignation,
Ɔsɔfopanyin ne ne dɔm ne Sadukifo no ani beree asomafo no so yiye enti wɔyɛɛ adwene sɛ wɔbɛtwe wɔn aso.
18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
Ɛno nti, wɔkyeree asomafo no de wɔn koguu afiase.
19 But the angel of YHWH by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
Da no ara anadwo, Awurade bɔfo behiɛɛ afiase apon no dii asomafo no anim ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se,
20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
“Monkɔ asɔredan mu nkɔka nkwa foforo yi ho asɛm nkyerɛ nnipa no.”
21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel and sent to the prison to have them brought.
Asomafo no dii asɛm a ɔbɔfo no ka kyerɛɛ wɔn no so; enti anɔpahema no wɔkɔɔ asɔredan mu hɔ kofii ase kyerɛkyerɛe. Ɔsɔfopanyin no ne ne dɔm no frɛɛ Yudafo mpanyin ma wɔyɛɛ nhyiamu kɛse bi; afei wɔsoma ma wɔkɔɔ afiase hɔ sɛ wɔnkɔfa asomafo no mmra wɔn anim.
22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told,
Nanso, bere a nnipa no duu afiase hɔ no, wɔanhu asomafo no; enti wɔsan ba bɛbɔɔ wɔn amanneɛ se,
23 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.
“Bere a yeduu afiase hɔ no, yehuu sɛ wɔatoto afiase apon no nyinaa mu petee a awɛmfo no gyinagyina ano. Nanso yebuebuee apon no, yɛanhu obiara wɔ mu.”
24 Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
Bere a ɔpanyin a ɔhwɛ asɔredan mu awɛmfo no so ne asɔfo mpanyin no tee saa asɛm no, wɔn adwene mu yɛɛ wɔn naa, efisɛ na wonhu asɛm a asi.
25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
Ankyɛ koraa na ɔbarima bi baa hɔ bɛka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Nnipa a mode wɔn guu afiase no gyinagyina asɔredan no mu rekyerɛkyerɛ nnipa no.”
26 Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.
Awɛmfo no so panyin no tee asɛm no, ɔne ne nkurɔfo no kɔkyeree asomafo no de wɔn bae. Awɛmfo no so panyin no ne awɛmfo no amfa asomafo no amma ɔhyɛ so, efisɛ na wonim sɛ, sɛ wɔyɛ saa a, nnipa no besiw wɔn abo.
27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
Wɔde asomafo no begyinaa agyinatufo no anim ma Ɔsɔfopanyin no ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se,
28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
“Yɛhyɛɛ mo sɛ monnkyerɛkyerɛ wɔ Yesu din mu, nanso moantie. Mode mo nkyerɛkyerɛ yi afa Yerusalem baabiara, na mopɛ sɛ mokyerɛ sɛ, yɛn na yekum saa ɔbarima no!”
29 Then Kepha and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey Elohim rather than men.
Petro ne asomafo a wɔka ne ho no buaa wɔn se, “Ɛsɛ sɛ yetie Onyankopɔn na ɛnyɛ nnipa,
30 The Elohim of our fathers raised up Yahushua, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
efisɛ mobɔɔ Yesu asennua mu, kum no no, yɛn agyanom Nyankopɔn nyan no fii owu mu.
31 Him hath YHWH exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Spirit, whom Elohim hath given to them that obey him.
Yɛne Honhom Kronkron a ɛyɛ akyɛde a Awurade de ma wɔn a wotie no no di eyi ho adanse.”
33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.
Agyinatufo no tee asɛm no, wɔn bo fuwii, na wɔkae se wobekum asomafo no.
34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
Nanso wɔn mu baako a wɔfrɛ no Gamaliel a ɔyɛ Farisini na ɔsan yɛ Kyerɛwsɛm no kyerɛkyerɛfo a na nnipa bu no no sɔre gyina hyɛɛ sɛ wɔmfa asomafo no mfi adi.
35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.
Afei, ɔkasa kyerɛɛ agyinatufo no se, “Me nuanom Israel mmarima, munnwen nea mopɛ sɛ moyɛ saa nnipa yi ho yiye.
36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.

37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.

38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
Ɛno nti mitu mo fo se, munnyaa saa nnipa yi ma wɔnkɔ wɔn baabi. Sɛ wɔn nkyerɛkyerɛ ne wɔn nnwuma yi fi onipa a, ebegu.
39 But if it be of Elohim, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against Elohim.
Nanso sɛ efi Onyankopɔn a, morentumi nsiw wɔn kwan. Mubehu sɛ moreko atia Onyankopɔn.”
40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Yahushua, and let them go.

41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Yahushua the Messiah.
