2 Peter 1
1 Simon Kepha, a servant and an apostle of Yahushua the Messiah, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of YHWH and our Saviour Yahushua the Messiah:
Simão Pedro, servo e apóstolo de Jesus Cristo, aos que obtiveram conosco a igualmente preciosa fé pela justiça de nosso Deus e Salvador Jesus Cristo;
2 Favour and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of YHWH, and of Yahushua our Master,
Graça e paz vos seja multiplicada pelo conhecimento de Deus, e de Jesus nosso Senhor.
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and reverence, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Como seu divino poder ele tem nos dado tudo o que [pertence] à vida e à devoção divina, por meio do conhecimento daquele que nos chamou à glória e virtude;
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Pelas quais nos são dadas grandíssimas e preciosas promessas, para que por meio delas sejais participantes da natureza divina, tendo escapado da corrupção que há no mundo pelo mau desejo.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
E por isso mesmo, pondo todo o empenho, acrescentai a vossa fé virtude; e à virtude, conhecimento;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience reverence;
E ao conhecimento, domínio próprio; e ao domínio próprio, paciência; e à paciência, devoção divina;
7 And to reverence brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
E à devoção divina, amor fraternal; e ao amor fraternal, amor.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Master Yahushua the Messiah.
Porque se em vós existirem e abundarem estas coisas, elas não vos deixarão ociosos nem estéreis no conhecimento de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Porque aquele em quem não há estas coisas é cego, nada vendo de longe, tendo se esquecido da purificação de seus antigos pecados.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
Portanto, irmãos, procurai ainda mais confirmar vosso chamamento e escolha [da parte de Deus]; porque fazendo isso nunca tropeçareis.
11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Master and Saviour Yahushua the Messiah. (aiōnios g166)
Porque assim vos será abundantemente fornecida a entrada no reino eterno de nosso Senhor e Salvador Jesus Cristo. (aiōnios g166)
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
Por isso eu não deixarei de sempre vos relembrar destas coisas, ainda que [as] saibais, e estejais firmes na verdade presente.
13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
E eu considero justo, enquanto eu estiver neste tabernáculo, de vos despertar com relembranças;
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Master Yahushua the Messiah hath shewed me.
Sabendo que breve está a saída do meu meu tabernáculo, conforme também nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo tem revelado a mim.
15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
Mas também procurarei que depois de minha partida vós sejais capazes de ter lembrança destas coisas.
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Master Yahushua the Messiah, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
Porque nós não vos anunciamos o poder e vinda de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo seguindo mitos criados pela inteligência humana, mas sim como testemunhas oculares de sua grandiosidade.
17 For he received from YHWH the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Porque de Deus Pai ele recebeu honra e glória, tendo sido lhe enviada tal voz de magnífica glória: Este é meu amado Filho, em quem me agrado.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
E nós ouvimos esta voz enviada do Céu, estando nós com ele no santo monte.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
E temos a muito confiável palavra dos profetas; a qual vós fazeis bem ao prestardes atenção, como a uma luz que ilumina em lugar escuro, até que o dia clareie e a estrela da manhã se levante em vossos corações.
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
Sabendo primeiramente isto: que nenhuma profecia da Escritura é de interpretação particular.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of YHWH spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
Porque a profecia jamais foi produzida pela vontade humana, mas homens falaram da parte de Deus conduzidos pelo Espírito Santo.
