2 Kings 20

1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith YHWH, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

En aquellos días Ezequías cayó enfermo a la muerte; y vino a él Isaías profeta, hijo de Amós, y díjole: Jehová dice así: Dispón de tu casa, porque has de morir, y no vivirás.

2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto YHWH, saying,

El entonces volvió su rostro a la pared, y oró a Jehová, y dijo:

3 I beseech thee, O YHWH, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

Ruégote oh Jehová, ruégote que hayas memoria de que he andado delante de ti en verdad, y en corazón perfecto: y que he hecho las cosas que te agradan. Y lloró Ezequías con gran lloro.

4 And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of YHWH came to him, saying,

Y antes que Isaías saliese hasta la mitad del patio, fue palabra de Jehová a Isaías, diciendo:

5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith YHWH, the Elohim of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of YHWH.

Vuelve, y di a Ezequías príncipe de mi pueblo: Así dice Jehová el Dios de David tu padre: Yo he oído tu oración, y he visto tus lágrimas: he aquí, yo te sano: al tercero día subirás a la casa de Jehová.

6 And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

Y añadiré a tus días quince años, y te libraré a ti y a esta ciudad de mano del rey de Asiria; y ampararé esta ciudad por amor de mí, y por amor de David mi siervo.

7 And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

Y dijo Isaías: Tomád masa de higos. Y tomándola, pusiéronla sobre la llaga, y sanó.

8 And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that YHWH will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of YHWH the third day?

Y Ezequías dijo a Isaías: ¿Qué señal tendré, de que Jehová me sanará, y que al tercero día subiré a la casa de Jehová?

9 And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of YHWH, that YHWH will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forth ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

E Isaías respondió: Esta señal tendrás de Jehová, de que Jehová hará esto que ha dicho: ¿Pasará la sombra adelante diez grados, o volverá atrás diez grados?

10 And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.

Y Ezequías respondió: Fácil cosa es que la sombra decline diez grados: mas que la sombra vuelva atrás diez grados.

11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto YHWH: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

Entonces el profeta Isaías clamó a Jehová; e hizo volver la sombra por los grados que había descendido en el reloj de Acaz diez grados atrás.

12 At that time Berodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.

En aquel tiempo envió Berodac-baladán, hijo de Baladán, rey de Babilonia, cartas y presentes a Ezequías, porque había oído que Ezequías había caído enfermo.

13 And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

Y Ezequías los oyó, y mostróles toda la casa de las cosas preciosas, plata, oro y especiería, y preciosos ungüentos: y la casa de sus armas, y todo lo que había en sus tesoros: ninguna cosa quedó, que Ezequías no les mostrase, así en su casa como en todo su señorío.

14 Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.

Entonces el profeta Isaías vino al rey Ezequías, y díjole: ¿Qué dijeron aquellos varones, y de donde vinieron a ti? Y Ezequías le respondió: De lejas tierras han venido, de Babilonia.

15 And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

Y él le volvió a decir: ¿Qué vieron en tu casa? Y Ezequías respondió: Vieron todo lo que había en mi casa; nada quedó en mis tesoros, que no les mostrase.

16 And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of YHWH.

Entonces Isaías dijo a Ezequías: Oye palabra de Jehová:

17 Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith YHWH.

He aquí, vienen días, en que todo lo que está en tu casa, y todo lo que tus padres han atesorado hasta hoy, será llevado a Babilonia, sin quedar nada, dijo Jehová.

18 And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

Y de tus hijos, que saldrán de ti, y habrás engendrado, tomarán, y serán eunucos en el palacio del rey de Babilonia.

19 Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of YHWH which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?

Entonces Ezequías dijo a Isaías: La palabra de Jehová, que has hablado, es buena. Y dijo: ¿Mas no habrá paz y verdad en mis días?

20 And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

Lo demás de los hechos de Ezequías, y toda su valentía, y como hizo el estanque, y el conduto, y metió las aguas en la ciudad, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

21 And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.

Y durmió Ezequías con sus padres, y reinó en su lugar Manasés su hijo.
