2 Kings 12
1 In the seventh year of Jehu Jehoash began to reign; and forty years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Zibiah of Beer-sheba.
ヨアシはヱヒウの七年に位に即きエルサレムにおいて四十年世を治めたりその母はベエルシバより出たるものにて名をヂビアといへり
2 And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of YHWH all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
ヨアシは祭司ヱホヤダの己を誨ふる間は恒にヱホバの善と視たまふ事をおこなへり
3 But the high places were not taken away: the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.
然ど崇邱は除かずしてあり民は尚その崇邱において犠牲をささげ香を焚り
4 And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of YHWH, even the money of every one that passeth the account, the money that every man is set at, and all the money that cometh into any man's heart to bring into the house of YHWH,
茲にヨアシ祭司等に言けるは凡てヱホバの家に聖別て献納るところの金即ち核數らるる人の金估價にしたがひて出すところの身の代の金および人々が心より願てヱホバの家に持きたるところの金
5 Let the priests take it to them, every man of his acquaintance: and let them repair the breaches of the house, wheresoever any breach shall be found.
これを祭司等おのおのその知人より受をさめ何處にても殿に破壞の見る時はこれをもてその破壞を修繕ふべしと
6 But it was so, that in the three and twentieth year of king Jehoash the priests had not repaired the breaches of the house.
然るにヨアシ王の二十三年におよぶまで祭司等殿の破壞を修繕ふにいたらざりしかば
7 Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.
ヨアシ王祭司ヱホヤダおよびその他の祭司等を召てこれに言ふ汝等などて殿の破壞を修繕はざるや然ば今よりは汝等の知人より金を受て自己のためにすべからず唯殿の破壞の修理に其を供ふべしと
8 And the priests consented to receive no more money of the people, neither to repair the breaches of the house.
祭司等は重て民より自己のために金を受ず又殿の破壞を修理ふことをせじと約せり
9 But Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one cometh into the house of YHWH: and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of YHWH.
斯て後祭司ヱホヤダ一箇の櫃をとりその蓋に孔を穿ちてこれをヱホバの家の入口の右において壇の傍に置り門守の祭司等すなはちヱホバの家に入きたるところの金をことごとくその中に入たり
10 And it was so, when they saw that there was much money in the chest, that the king's scribe and the high priest came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that was found in the house of YHWH.
爰にその櫃の中に金の多くあることを見たれば王の書記と祭司長と上り來りてそのヱホバの家に積りし金を包みてこれを數へ
11 And they gave the money, being told, into the hands of them that did the work, that had the oversight of the house of YHWH: and they laid it out to the carpenters and builders, that wrought upon the house of YHWH,
その數へし金をこの工事をなす者に付せり即ちヱホバの家の監督者にこれを付しければ彼等またヱホバの家を修理ふところの木匠と建築師にこれを與へ
12 And to masons, and hewers of stone, and to buy timber and hewed stone to repair the breaches of the house of YHWH, and for all that was laid out for the house to repair it.
石工および琢石者に與へまたこれをもてヱホバの家の破壞を修繕ふ材木と琢石を買ひ殿を修理ふために用ふる諸の物のためにこれを費せり
13 Howbeit there were not made for the house of YHWH bowls of silver, snuffers, basons, trumpets, any vessels of gold, or vessels of silver, of the money that was brought into the house of YHWH:
但しヱホバの家にり來れるその金をもてヱホバの家のために銀の盂燈剪鉢喇叭金の器銀の器等を造ることはせざりき
14 But they gave that to the workmen, and repaired therewith the house of YHWH.
唯これをその工事をなす者にわたして之をもてヱホバの家を修理はしめたり
15 Moreover they reckoned not with the men, into whose hand they delivered the money to be bestowed on workmen: for they dealt faithfully.
またその金を手にわたして工人にはらはしめたる人々と計算をなすことをせざりき是は彼等忠厚に事をなしたればなり
16 The trespass money and sin money was not brought into the house of YHWH: it was the priests'.
愆金と罪金はヱホバの家にいらずして祭司に歸せり
17 Then Hazael king of Syria went up, and fought against Gath, and took it: and Hazael set his face to go up to Jerusalem.
當時スリアの王ハザエルのぼり來りてガテを攻てこれを取り而してハザエル、エルサレムに攻のぼらんとてその面をこれに向たり
18 And Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, and Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of YHWH and in the king's house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.
是をもてユダの王ヨアシその先祖たるユダの王ヨシヤパテ、ヨラム、アハジア等が聖別て献げたる一切の物および自己が聖別て献げたる物ならびにヱホバの家の庫と王の家とにあるところの金を悉く取てこれをスリアの王ハザエルにおくりければ彼すなはちエルサレムを離れて去ぬ
19 And the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
ヨアシのその餘の行爲およびその凡て爲たる事はユダの王の歴代志の書に記さるるにあらずや
20 And his servants arose, and made a conspiracy, and slew Joash in the house of Millo, which goeth down to Silla.
茲にヨアシの臣僕等おこりて黨をむすびシラに下るところのミロの家にてヨアシを弑せり
21 For Jozachar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, smote him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.
即ちその僕シメアテの子ヨザカルとシヨメルの子ヨザバデかれを弑して死しめたればその先祖とおなじくこれをダビデの邑に葬れりその子アマジヤこれに代りて王となる
