2 Corinthians 2
1 But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.
Así que decidí no visitarlos otra vez para no causarles tristeza.
2 For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
Porque si yo los entristezco, ¿quién me alegra, sino aquel a quien yo entristecí?
3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
Les escribí esto para que al llegar no sea entristecido por los que debían alegrarme. Confío que mi gozo es el de todos ustedes.
4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
Les escribí con muchas lágrimas por la gran aflicción y angustia, no para entristecerlos, sino para que supieran cuán gran amor les tengo.
5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
Si causó tristeza a alguno, no fue solo a mí, sino hasta cierto punto, para no exagerar, a todos ustedes.
6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
Este castigo de la mayoría para él fue suficiente.
7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
Por tanto, al contrario, más bien les corresponde a ustedes perdonarlo y consolarlo, para que él no sea abrumado por la excesiva tristeza.
8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.
Así que les ruego confirmar [el] amor hacia él.
9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
Por esto les escribí, a fin de ponerlos a prueba para saber si son obedientes en todas las cosas.
10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of the Messiah;
A quien perdonen algo, yo también. Porque lo que perdoné, si algo perdoné, [lo hice] por ustedes en presencia de Cristo
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
para que Satanás no se aproveche, porque no ignoramos sus maquinaciones.
12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach the glad tidings of the Messiah, and a door was opened unto me of YHWH,
Cuando fui a Troas para [predicar] las Buenas Noticias de Cristo, aunque el Señor me abrió una puerta,
13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
no tuve reposo en mi espíritu por no hallar a mi hermano Tito. Así que me despedí de ellos y salí para Macedonia.
14 Now thanks be unto YHWH, which always causeth us to triumph in the Messiah, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
Pero gracias a Dios, Quien siempre nos lleva en un desfile triunfal en Cristo, y por medio de nosotros manifiesta la fragancia de su conocimiento en todo lugar.
15 For we are unto YHWH a sweet savour of the Messiah, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
Porque somos fragancia de Cristo para Dios entre los que son salvos y entre los que se pierden:
16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
a estos ciertamente, [somos] olor de muerte para muerte, y a aquéllos, olor de vida para vida. Y para estas cosas, ¿quién está capacitado?
17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of YHWH: but as of sincerity, but as of YHWH, in the sight of YHWH speak we in the Messiah.
Porque no somos como muchos que negocian la Palabra de Dios. Hablamos con sinceridad en Cristo, como sus enviados delante de Dios.
