2 Chronicles 8
1 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of YHWH, and his own house,
ソロモン二十年を經てヱホバの家と己の家を建をはりけるが
2 That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
ヒラム邑幾何をソロモンに歸しければソロモンまた之を建なほしイスラエルの子孫をしてその中に住しむ
3 And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah, and prevailed against it.
ソロモンまたハマテゾバに往て之に勝り
4 And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
彼また曠野のタデモルを建てハマテの諸の府庫邑を建つ
5 Also he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
また上ベテホロンおよび下ベテホロンを建つ是は堅固の邑にして石垣あり門あり關木あり
6 And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
ソロモンまたバアラテとおのが有る府庫の邑々と戰車の諸の邑々と騎兵の邑々ならびにそのエルサレム、レバノンおよび己が治むるところの全地に建んと望みし者を盡く建つ
7 As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,
凡てイスラエルの子孫にあらざるヘテ人アモリ人ペリジ人ヒビ人ヱブス人の遺れる者
8 But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
その地にありて彼らの後に遺れるその子孫即ちイスラエルの子孫の滅ぼし盡さざりし民はソロモンこれを使役して今日にいたる
9 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
然れどもイスラエルの子孫をばソロモン一人も奴隸となして其工事に使ふことをせざりき彼らは軍人となり軍旅の長となり戰車と騎兵の長となれり
10 And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.
ソロモン王の有司の首は二百五十人ありて民を統ぶ
11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of YHWH hath come.
ソロモン、パロの女をダビデの邑より携へのぼりて曩にこれがために建おきたる家にいたる彼すなはち言り我妻はイスラエルの王ダビデの家に居べからずヱホバの契約の櫃のいたれる處は皆聖ければなりと
12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto YHWH on the altar of YHWH, which he had built before the porch,
茲にソロモン曩に廊の前に築きおきたるヱホバの壇の上にてヱホバに燔祭を献ぐることをせり
13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
即ちモーセの命令にしたがひて毎日例のごとくに之を献げ安息日月朔および年に三次の節會すなはち酵いれぬパンの節と七週の節と結茅節とに之を献ぐ
14 And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of Elohim commanded.
ソロモンその父ダビデの定めたる所にしたがひて祭司の班列を定めてその職に任じ又レビ人をその勤務に任じて日々例のごとく祭司の前にて頌讃をなし奉事をなさしめ又門を守る者をしてその班列にしたがひて諸門を守らしむ神の人ダビデの命ぜしところ是の如くなりければなり
15 And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
祭司とレビ人は諸の事につきまた府庫の事につきて王に命ぜられたる所に違ざりき
16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of YHWH, and until it was finished. So the house of YHWH was perfected.
ソロモンはヱホバの家の基を置る日までにその工事の準備をことごとく爲しおきて遂に之を成をへたればヱホバの家は全備せり
17 Then went Solomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
茲にソロモン、ヱドムの地の海邊にあるエジオンゲベルおよびエロテに往り
18 And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
時にヒラムその僕等の手に託て船を彼に遣りまた海の事を知る僕等を遣りけるが彼等すなはちソロモンの僕とともにオフルに往て彼處より金四百五十タラントを取てソロモン王の許に携へ來れり
