1 Samuel 3

1 And the child Samuel ministered unto YHWH before Eli. And the word of YHWH was precious in those days; there was no open vision.

और वह लड़का समुएल एली के सामने ख़ुदावन्द की ख़िदमत करता था, और उन दिनों ख़ुदावन्द का कलाम गिराँक़द्र था कोई ख़्वाब ज़ाहिर न होता था।

2 And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see;

और उस वक़्त ऐसा हुआ कि जब एली अपनी जगह लेटा था उस की ऑंखें धुन्द्लाने लगी थी, और वह देख नहीं सकता था।

3 And ere the lamp of Elohim went out in the temple of YHWH, where the ark of Elohim was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;

और ख़ुदा का चराग़ अब तक बुझा नहीं था और समुएल ख़ुदावन्द की हैकल में जहाँ ख़ुदा का संदूक़ था लेटा हुआ था

4 That YHWH called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.

तो ख़ुदावन्द ने समुएल को पुकारा; उसने कहा, “मैं हाज़िर हूँ।”

5 And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.

और वह दौड़ कर एली के पास गया और कहा, तूने मुझे पुकारा इसलिए में हाज़िर हूँ “उसने कहा, मैंने नहीं पुकारा फिर लेट जा” इसलिए वह जाकर लेट गया।

6 And YHWH called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.

और ख़ुदावन्द ने फिर पुकारा “समुएल।” समुएल उठ कर एली के पास गया और कहा, “तूने मुझे पुकारा इसलिए मैं हाज़िर हूँ।” उसने कहा, “ऐ, मेरे बेटे मैंने नहीं पुकारा; फिर लेट जा।”

7 Now Samuel did not yet know YHWH, neither was the word of YHWH yet revealed unto him.

और समुएल ने अभी ख़ुदावन्द को नही पहचाना था और न ख़ुदावन्द का कलाम उस पर ज़ाहिर हुआ था।

8 And YHWH called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that YHWH had called the child.

फिर ख़ुदावन्द ने तीसरी दफ़ा समुएल को पुकारा और वह उठ कर एली के पास गया और कहा, तूने मुझे पुकारा इसलिए में हाज़िर हूँ “तब एली जान गया कि ख़ुदावन्द ने उस लड़के को पुकारा।

9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, YHWH; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

इसलिए एली ने समुएल से कहा, जा लेट रह और अगर वह तुझे पुकारे तो तू कहना ऐ ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमा; क्यूँकि तेरा बन्दा सुनता है।” तब समुएल जाकर अपनी जगह पर लेट गया

10 And YHWH came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.

तब ख़ुदावन्द आ मौजूद हुआ, और पहले की तरह पुकारा “समुएल! समुएल! समुएल ने कहा, फ़रमा, क्यूँकि तेरा बन्दा सुनता है।”

11 And YHWH said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.

ख़ुदावन्द ने समुएल से कहा, “देख मैं इस्राईल में ऐसा काम करने पर हूँ जिस से हर सुनने वाले के कान भन्ना जाएँगे।

12 In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.

उस दिन मैं एली पर सब कुछ जो मैंने उस के घराने के हक़ में कहा है शुरू' से आख़िर तक पूरा करूँगा

13 For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

क्यूँकि मैं उसे बता चुका हूँ कि मैं उस बदकारी की वजह से जिसे वह जानता है हमेशा के लिए उसके घर का फ़ैसला करूँगा क्यूँकि उसके बेटों ने अपने ऊपर ला'नत बुलाई और उसने उनको न रोका।

14 And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.

इसी लिए एली के घराने के बारे में मैंने क़सम खाई कि एली के घराने की बदकारी न तो कभी किसी ज़बीहा से साफ़ होगी न हदिये से।”

15 And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of YHWH. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision.

और समुएल सुबह तक लेटा रहा; तब उसने ख़ुदावन्द के घर के दरवाज़े खोले और समुएल एली पर ख़्वाब ज़ाहिर करने से डरा।

16 Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I.

तब एली ने समुएल को बुलाकर कहा, ऐ मेरे बेटे समुएल “उसने कहा, मैं हाज़िर हूँ।”

17 And he said, What is the thing that YHWH hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: Elohim do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.

तब उसने पूछा वह “क्या बात है जो ख़ुदावन्द ने तुझ से कही हैं? मैं तेरी मिन्नत करता हूँ उसे मुझ से पोशीदा न रख, अगर तू कुछ भी उन बातों में से जो उसने तुझ से कहीं हैं छिपाए तो ख़ुदा तुझ से ऐसा ही करे बल्कि उससे भी ज़्यादा।”

18 And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is YHWH: let him do what seemeth him good.

तब समुएल ने उसको पूरा हाल बताया और उससे कुछ न छिपाया, उसने कहा, “वह ख़ुदावन्द है जो वह भला जाने वह करे।”

19 And Samuel grew, and YHWH was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.

और समुएल बड़ा होता गया और ख़ुदावन्द उसके साथ था और उसने उसकी बातों में से किसी को मिट्टी में मिलने न दिया।

20 And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of YHWH.

और सब बनी इस्राईल ने दान से बैरसबा' तक जान लिया कि समुएल ख़ुदावन्द का नबी मुक़र्रर हुआ।

21 And YHWH appeared again in Shiloh: for YHWH revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of YHWH.

और ख़ुदावन्द शीलोह में फिर ज़ाहिर हुआ, क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द ने अपने आप को सैला में समुएल पर अपने कलाम के ज़रिए' से ज़ाहिर किया।
