1 Kings 21
1 And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.
是等の事の後ヱズレル人ナボテ、ヱズレルに葡萄園を有ちゐたりしがサマリアの王アハブの殿の側に在りければ
2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.
アハブ、ナボテに語て言けるは爾の葡萄園は近くわが家の側にあれば我に與へて蔬采の圃となさしめよ我之がために其よりも美き葡萄園を爾に與へん若し爾の心にかなはば其價を銀にて爾に予へんと
3 And Naboth said to Ahab, YHWH forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.
ナボテ、アハブに言けるはわが父祖の產業を爾に與ふる事は決て爲べからずヱホバ禁じたまふと
4 And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.
アハブはヱズレル人ナボテの己に言し言のために憂ひ且怒りて其家に入ぬ其は彼わが父祖の產業を爾に與へじと言たればなりアハブ床に臥し其面を轉けて食をなさざりき
5 But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?
其妻イゼベル彼の處にいりて彼に言けるは爾の心何を憂へて爾食を爲ざるや
6 And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.
彼之に言けるは我ヱズレル人ナボテに語りて爾の葡萄園を銀に易て我に與へよ若また爾好ば我其に易て葡萄園を爾に與へんと彼に言たるに彼答へて我が葡萄園を爾に與へじと言たればなりと
7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.
其妻イゼベル彼に言けるは爾今イステエルの國を治むることを爲すや興て食を爲し爾の心を樂ましめよ我ヱズレル人ナボテの葡萄園を爾に與へんと
8 So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.
彼アハブの名をもて書を書き彼の印を捺し其邑にナボテとともに住る長老と貴き人に其書をおくれり
9 And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:
彼其書にしるして曰ふ斷食を宣傳てナボテを民の中に高く坐せしめよ
10 And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme Elohim and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.
又邪なる人二人を彼のまへに坐せしめ彼に對ひて證を爲して爾神と王を詛ひたりと言しめよ斯して彼を曳出し石にて撃て死しめよと
11 And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.
其邑の人即ち其邑に住る長老および貴き人等イゼベルが己に言つかはしたる如く即ち彼が己に遣りたる書に書したる如く爲り
12 They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.
彼等斷食を宣達てナボテを民の中に高く坐せしめたり
13 And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme Elohim and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.
時に二人の邪なる人入來りて其前に坐し其邪なる人民のまへにてナボテに對て證をなして言ふナボテ神と王を詛ひたりと人衆彼を邑の外に曳出し石にて之を撃て死しめたり
14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.
斯てイゼベルにナボテ撃れて死たりと言遣れり
15 And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.
イゼベル、ナボタの撃れて死たるを聞しかばイゼベル、アハブに言けるは起て彼ヱズレル人ナボテが銀に易て爾に與ることを拒みし葡萄園を取べし其はナボテは生をらず死たればなりと
16 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.
アハブ、ナボテの死たるを聞しかばアハブ起ちヱズレル人ナボテの葡萄園を取んとて之に下れり
17 And the word of YHWH came to EliYah the Tishbite, saying,
時にヱホバの言テシベ人エリヤに臨みて曰ふ
18 Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it.
起て下りサマリアにあるイスラエルの王アハブに會ふべし彼はナボテの葡萄園を取んとて彼處に下りをるなり
19 And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith YHWH, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith YHWH, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.
爾彼に告て言べしヱホバ斯言ふ爾は殺し亦取たるやと又爾彼に告て言ふべしヱホバ斯言ふ犬ナボテの血を銛し處にて犬爾の身の血を銛べしと
20 And Ahab said to EliYah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of YHWH.
アハブ、エリヤに言けるは我敵よ爾我に遇や彼言ふ我遇ふ爾ヱホバの目の前に惡を爲す事に身を委しに縁り
21 Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,
我災害を爾に降し爾の後裔を除きアハブに屬する男はイスラエルにありて繋がれたる者も繋がれざる者も悉く絶ん
22 And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.
又爾の家をネバテの子ヤラベアムの家の如くなしアヒヤの子バアシヤの家のごとくなすべし是は爾我の怒を惹起しイスラエルをして罪を犯させたるに因てなり
23 And of Jezebel also spake YHWH, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.
イゼベルに關てヱホバ亦語て言給ふ犬ヱズレルの濠にてイゼベルを食はん
24 Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.
アハブに屬する者の邑に死るをば犬之を食ひ野に死るをば天空の鳥之を食はんと
25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of YHWH, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.
誠にアハブの如くヱホバの目の前に惡をなす事に身をゆだねし者はあらざりき其妻イゼベル之を慫憊たるなり
26 And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom YHWH cast out before the children of Israel.
彼はヱホバがイスラエルの子孫のまへより逐退けたまひしアモリ人の凡てなせし如く偶像に從ひて甚だ惡むべき事を爲り
27 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.
アハブ此等の言を聞ける時其衣を裂き粗麻布を體にまとひ食を斷ち粗麻布に臥し遅々に歩行り
28 And the word of YHWH came to EliYah the Tishbite, saying,
茲にヱホバの言テシベ人エリヤに臨みて言ふ
29 Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.
爾アハブの我前に卑下るを見るや彼わがまへに卑下るに縁て我災害を彼の世に降さずして其子の世に災害を彼の家に降すべし
