Revelation 14
1 AND I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.
Et je vis, et voici, l'agneau se tenait debout sur la montagne de Sion, et avec lui cent quarante-quatre mille personnes ayant son nom et le nom de son Père écrits sur leurs fronts.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
Et j'entendis une voix venant du ciel, comme un bruit de grosses eaux et comme le bruit d'un grand tonnerre, et la voix que j'entendis était comme celle de musiciens qui jouent sur leurs harpes;
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
et ils chantent comme un hymne nouveau devant le trône, et devant les quatre animaux et les anciens. Et personne ne pouvait apprendre l'hymne, sinon les cent quarante-quatre mille, les rachetés de la terre
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
qui ne se sont point souillés avec des femmes, car ils sont vierges. Ceux-ci, qui suivent l'agneau partout où il va, ceux-ci ont été rachetés d'entre les hommes, comme des prémices pour Dieu et pour l'agneau;
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
et dans leur bouche il ne s'est point trouvé de mensonge; ils sont irrépréhensibles.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, (aiōnios g166)
Et je vis un autre ange volant dans le milieu du ciel, portant un évangile éternel pour annoncer une bonne nouvelle aux habitants de la terre, et à toute nation, et tribu, et langue, et peuple, (aiōnios g166)
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
en disant d'une voix forte: « Craignez Dieu et Lui donnez gloire, Car l'heure de Son jugement est arrivée, Et adorez Celui qui a fait le ciel et la terre, Et la mer et les sources d'eau, »
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Et un autre, un second ange suivit, qui disait: « Elle est tombée, elle est tombée, Babylone la grande, Qui, du vin capiteux de son impudicité, A abreuvé toutes les nations, »
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Et un autre, un troisième ange le suivit, qui disait, d'une voix forte: «Quiconque adore la bête et son image, et reçoit une marque sur son front ou sur sa main,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
lui aussi boira du vin capiteux de Dieu qui a été préparé sans mélange dans la coupe de Sa colère. Et ils seront tourmentés dans le feu et le soufre en présence des anges, et en présence de l'agneau;
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (aiōn g165)
et la fumée de leur tourment monte aux siècles des siècles, et ils n'ont de repos, ni jour ni nuit, ceux qui adorent la bête et son image, et quiconque reçoit la marque de son nom. (aiōn g165)
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Ici se trouve la constance des saints, qui observent les commandements de Dieu et la foi de Jésus. »
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
Et j'entendis une voix venant du ciel qui disait: « Écris: Heureux les morts qui meurent dans le Seigneur, dès maintenant! Oui, dit l'Esprit; c'est pour qu'ils se reposent de leurs peines, car leurs œuvres les suivent. »
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
Et je vis, et voici, un nuage blanc, et sur ce nuage était assis quelqu'un de semblable à un fils d'homme; il avait sur la tête une couronne et dans la main une faucille tranchante.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
Et un autre ange sortit du sanctuaire, criant d'une voix forte à celui qui était assis sur le nuage: « Lance ta faucille, et moissonne, car le moment de moissonner est venu, car la moisson de la terre est desséchée. »
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
Et celui qui était assis sur le nuage jeta sa faucille sur la terre, et la terre fut moissonnée.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
Et un autre ange sortit du sanctuaire qui est dans le ciel, tenant aussi une faucille tranchante,
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
et un autre ange d'auprès de l'autel (c'est celui qui a autorité sur le feu) s'adressa d'une voix forte à celui qui tenait la faucille tranchante, en disant: « Lance ta faucille tranchante, et vendange les grappes de la vigne de la terre, car ses raisins ont mûri. »
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
Et l'ange jeta sa faucille sur la terre, et il vendangea la vigne de la terre; et il jeta la vendange dans le grand pressoir du courroux de Dieu.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Et le pressoir fut foulé hors de la ville, et il sortit du sang du pressoir jusques aux mors des chevaux, sur un espace de mille six cent stades.
