Psalms 52

1 WHY boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

達味訓誨歌，交與樂官。 作於厄東人多厄格前去報告撒烏耳，說達味到了阿希默肋客家後。 你這以作惡端為能事的人！你為什麼竟以罪為榮為幸？

2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp rasor, working deceitfully.

你這欺詐的人，你時時懷念邪惡，你的舌頭正如一把銳利的剃刀。

3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. (Selah)

你愛作惡超過行善，你愛說謊超過真言。

4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

你這欺詐虛偽的舌頭，凡人的話你都羨慕。

5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. (Selah)

為此，天主必要消滅你，把你永遠廢去，要帳幕中拔去你，由人間將你根除。

6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

義人見了必然害怕，要對他冷嘲熱笑說：

7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

請看，這便是那不以天主作自己保障的人，他只依恃自己的財富，以邪惡而誇勝。

8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

我卻好像天主殿中的茂盛橄欖樹，全心信賴天主的慈愛，一直到永久。

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

上主行了此事，我要永遠稱頌你，我要在你聖徒的面前，讚揚你美善的聖名。
