Psalms 128

1 BLESSED is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

Une chanson d'ascension. Heureux celui qui craint Yahvé, qui marche dans ses voies.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Car vous mangerez le travail de vos mains. Vous serez heureux, et tout ira bien pour vous.

3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

Ta femme sera comme une vigne féconde dans l'intérieur de ta maison, vos enfants comme des pousses d'olives autour de votre table.

4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

Voici comment est béni l'homme qui craint Yahvé.

5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Que Yahvé vous bénisse de Sion, et que tu puisses voir le bien de Jérusalem tous les jours de ta vie.

6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

Oui, vous pouvez voir les enfants de vos enfants. Que la paix soit avec Israël.
