Psalms 121

1 I WILL lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Cantique des degrés. J’élève mes yeux vers les montagnes d’où vient mon secours;

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

Mon secours [vient] d’auprès de l’Éternel, qui a fait les cieux et la terre.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Il ne permettra point que ton pied soit ébranlé; celui qui te garde ne sommeillera pas.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Voici, celui qui garde Israël ne sommeillera pas, et ne dormira pas.

5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

L’Éternel est celui qui te garde; l’Éternel est ton ombre, à ta main droite.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Le soleil ne te frappera pas de jour, ni la lune de nuit.

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

L’Éternel te gardera de tout mal; il gardera ton âme.

8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

L’Éternel gardera ta sortie et ton entrée, dès maintenant et à toujours.
