Numbers 27
1 THEN came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
Und es nahten sich die Töchter Zelaphechads, des Sohnes Chephers, des Sohnes Giledas, des Sohnes Machirs, des Sohnes Menaschehs, von den Familien Menaschehs, des Sohnes Josephs; und dies sind die Namen seiner Töchter: Machlah, Noah und Choglah und Milkah und Thirzah;
2 And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
Und sie standen vor Mose und vor Eleasar, den Priester, und vor die Fürsten und die ganze Gemeinde an den Eingang des Versammlungszeltes und sprachen:
3 Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.
Unser Vater ist in der Wüste gestorben, er war aber nicht inmitten der Gemeinde, die sich wider Jehovah zusammentat in Korachs Gemeinde, sondern ist ob seiner Sünde gestorben, und hatte keine Söhne.
4 Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
Warum soll der Name unseres Vaters aus der Mitte seiner Familie weggelassen werden, weil er keinen Sohn hatte? Gib uns ein Eigentum inmitten der Brüder unseres Vaters.
5 And Moses brought their cause before the Lord.
Und Mose brachte ihre Rechtssache dar vor Jehovah.
6 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose, und Er sprach:
7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
Zelaphechads Töchter haben richtig geredet. Du sollst ihnen das Eigentum eines Erbes inmitten der Brüder ihres Vaters geben und das Erbe ihres Vaters auf sie übergehen lassen.
8 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
Und zu den Söhnen Israels rede und sprich: So ein Mann stirbt und hat keinen Sohn, so lasset sein Erbe an seine Tochter übergehen.
9 And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
Und hat er keine Tochter, so gebet sein Erbe seinen Brüdern.
10 And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren.
Und hat er keine Brüder, so gebt sein Erbe den Brüdern seines Vaters.
11 And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the Lord commanded Moses.
Und wenn sein Vater keine Brüder hat, so gebt sein Erbe dem nächsten Blutsverwandten aus seiner Familie, und er soll es erblich besitzen; und das sei für die Söhne Israels eine Rechtssatzung, so wie Jehovah dem Mose geboten hat.
12 And the Lord said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Steig hinauf auf den Berg Abarim da, und siehe das Land, das Ich den Söhnen Israels gegeben habe.
13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.
Und wenn du es gesehen hast, sollst auch du zu deinem Volke versammelt werden, wie dein Bruder Aharon versammelt worden ist.
14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
Weil ihr widerspenstig waret wider Meinen Befehl in der Wüste Zin beim Hadern der Gemeinde, da ihr Mich solltet durch das Wasser, vor ihren Augen heiligen. Dies sind die Haderwasser von Kadesch in der Wüste Zin.
15 And Moses spake unto the Lord, saying,
Und Mose redete zu Jehovah und sprach:
16 Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
Es bestelle Jehovah, der Gott der Geister alles Fleisches, einen Mann über die Gemeinde,
17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
Der vor ihnen her ausgehe und vor ihnen eingehe, und der sie ausführe und der sie einführe, auf daß Jehovahs Gemeinde nicht sei wie die Herde, die keinen Hirten hat.
18 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
Und Jehovah sprach zu Mose: Nimm dir Jehoschua, den Sohn Nuns, einen Mann, in dem der Geist ist, und lege deine Hand auf ihn;
19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
Und laß ihn vor Eleasar, den Priester, und vor die ganze Gemeinde stehen, und gebiete ihm vor ihren Augen.
20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
Und lege von deiner Majestät auf ihn, so daß die ganze Gemeinde der Söhne Israels es höre.
21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the Lord: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
Und er stehe vor Eleasar, dem Priester, und er frage für ihn nach dem Rechte der Urim vor Jehovah. Nach seinem Befehl sollen ausgehen und nach seinem Befehl sollen eingehen er und alle Söhne Israels mit ihm und die ganze Gemeinde.
22 And Moses did as the Lord commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
Und Mose tat, wie Jehovah ihm geboten hatte, und nahm den Jehoschua und ließ ihn vor Eleasar, den Priester, und vor die ganze Gemeinde stehen;
23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.
Und legte seine Hände auf ihn und gebot ihm, wie Jehovah durch Mose geredet hatte.
