< Matthew 27 >

1 WHEN the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
Ita, nasapa iti kabigatanna, nagtutulag amin dagiti panguloen a papadi ken dagiti panglakayen dagiti tattao, a papatayenda ni Jesus.
2 And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
Pinungoda isuna, impanawda, ken inyawatda isuna kenni Pilato a gobernador.
3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
Ket idi nakita ni Judas a nangliput kenni Jesus, a naikeddeng a madusa isuna, nagbabawi isuna ket insublina ti tallopulo a pidaso iti pirak kadagiti panguloen a papadi ken kadagiti panglakayen,
4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
ket kinuna, “Nagbasolak gapu iti panangliputko iti awan basolna a dara.” Ngem kinunada, “Ania koma dayta kadakami? Makaammoka iti bagim,”
5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
Ket impurruakna ti pirak iti templo, ket rimmuar a napan nagbekkel.
6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
Innala dagiti panguloen a papadi ti pirak ket kinunada, “Saan a nainkalintegan nga ikabil daytoy iti kaha, gapu ta daytoy ket gatad ti dara,”
7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.
Nagtutungtonganda dayta a banag ket ginatangda ti Taltalon ti Agdamdamili babaen iti dayta a kuarta, tapno pagipunponanda kadagiti ganggannaet.
8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
Gapu iti daytoy naawagan dayta a talon iti, “Talon ti Dara” agingga kadagitoy nga aldaw.
9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
Ket natungpal ti imbaga ni profeta Jeremias, a kunana, “Innalada ti tallopulo a pidaso ti pirak, ti gatad ti biagna nga inkeddeng dagiti tattao ti Israel,
10 And gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.
ket intedda daytoy para iti talon ti agdamdamili, a kas imbilin kaniak ti Dios.”
11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.
Ita, nakatakder ni Jesus iti sangoanan ti gobernador, ket nagsaludsod ti gobernador kenkuana, “Sika kadi ti Ari dagiti Judio?” Simmungbat ni Jesus kenkuana, “Imbagamon.”
12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
Ngem idi imbaga dagiti papanguloen a papadi ken dagiti panglakayen ti ibagbaga a basolna, saan a simmungbat.
13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?
Ket kinuna ni Pilato kenkuana, “Saanmo aya a nangngeg amin dagiti pammabasolda kenka?”
14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
Ngem saan a simmungbat isuna iti uray maysa a sao, isu a kasta unay ti siddaaw ti gobernador.
15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.
Ita, iti fiesta, nakaugalianen ti gobernador a mangwayawaya iti maysa kadagiti balud a pilien dagiti adu a tattao.
16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
Iti dayta a tiempo adda agdindinamag a balud nga agnagan iti Barabas.
17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?
Isu nga idi naguummongda, kinuna ni Pilato kadakuada, “Siasino ti kayatyo a wayawayaak para kadakayo? Ni Barabas wenno ni Jesus a maaw-awagan iti Cristo?”
18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.
Gapu ta ammona nga inyawatda kenkuana ni Jesus gapu iti apal.
19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
Bayat nga agtugtugaw isuna iti tugaw ti pangukoman, nangibaon ti asawana iti mangibaga kenkuana kadagitoy a sasao a kunana, “Saanka a makibiang iti maipanggep iti dayta awan basolna a tao. Ta nagsagabaak iti nakaro ita nga aldaw gapu iti natagtagainepko maipapan kenkuana.”
20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
Ita, inallukoy dagiti panguloen a papadi ken dagiti panglakayen dagiti adu a tattao, a kiddawenda ni Barabas, ken ipapatayda ni Jesus.
21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.
Dinamag ti gobernador kadakuada, “Siasino kadagiti dua ti kayatyo a wayawayaak kadakayo?” Kinunada, “Ni Barabas.”
22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
Kinuna ni Pilato kadakuada, ania ngarud ti aramidek kenni Jesus a maawagan iti Cristo?” Insungbatda amin, “Ilansa isuna iti krus.”
23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
Ket kinunana “Apay, ania ti basol a naaramidna?” Ngem inyad-adda pay nga impukkawda, “Ilansa isuna iti krus.”
24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
Isu nga idi nakita ni Pilato nga awanen ti maaramidanna, ngem mangrugrugi pay ketdin ti riribuk, nangala isuna iti danum, binugoanna dagiti imana iti sangoanan dagiti adu a tattao, ket kinunana, “Awan ti basolko iti dara daytoy awan basolna a tao. “Dakayon ti makaammo.”
25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
Kinuna amin dagiti tattao, “Uray mamantsaan iti darana dagiti imami ken uray pay dagiti ima dagiti annakmi.”
26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
Ket winayawayaanna ni Barabas kadakuada, ngem pinasaplitna ni Jesus ket inyawatna kadakuada tapno mailansa iti krus.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
Ket impan dagiti soldado ti gobernador ni Jesus iti Praetorio ket inumnongda ti sibubukel a bunggoy dagiti soldado.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
Inussubanda isuna ket kinagayanda iti nalabbaga a kagay.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
Nangaramidda iti balangat a sisiit, ket inkabilda iti ulona, pinaiggamanda ti makannawan nga imana iti sarrukod. Nagparintumengda iti sangoananna ket pinagang-angawanda isuna, kinunkunada, “Agbiag, ti Ari dagiti Judio!”
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
Ket tinupraanda isuna, innalada ti sarrukod ket pinang-orda ti ulona.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.
Idi nalpasdan a nagang-angawan isuna, inikkatda ti kagayna ket impaibadoda dagiti pagan-anayna, ket impanawda isuna tapno ilansada iti krus.
32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
Iti iruruarda, nakasalawda iti maysa a lalaki a naggapu idiay Cirene a managan Simon, a pinilitda a sumurot kadakuada tapno awitenna ti krus ni Jesus.
33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
Nadanonda ti lugar a naawagan iti Golgota, a kayatna a sawen, “Lugar iti Banga-banga.”
34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
Inikkanda isuna iti arak a mainum a nalaokan iti apro. Ngem idi naramananna daytoy, saanna a kayat nga uminom.
35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
Idi nailansadan isuna iti krus, nagbibingayanda dagiti pagan-anayna babaen iti panagsusugalda.
36 And sitting down they watched him there;
Ket binanbantayanda isuna.
37 And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Iti ngatoen ti ulona, inkabilda ti naipabasol kenkuana, a kunana, “Daytoy ni Jesus, ti ari dagiti Judio.”
38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
Dua nga agtatakaw ti padana a nailansa iti krus, maysa iti makannawanna ken maysa iti makannigidna.
39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
Linalais isuna dagiti lumablabas nga urayda la agwingiwing,
40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
ken kunkunada, “Sika a mangdadael iti templo ken mangbangon manen iti daytoy iti uneg ti tallo nga aldaw, isalakanmo ta bagim! No sika ti Anak ti Dios, bumabaka manipud iti krus!”
41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,
Iti kasta met laeng a wagas, linalais isuna panguloen a papadi ken kasta met dagiti eskriba ken dagiti panglakayen, ket kinunada,
42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
“Insalakanna dagiti dadduma, ngem saanna a maisalakan ti bagina. Isuna ti Ari ti Israel. Bumaba man ngarud isuna iti krus, ket iti kasta, mamatitayonto kenkuana.
43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
Agtaltalek isuna iti Dios. Ispalen koma ngarud isuna ti Dios ita no kayatna, gapu ta kinunana, “Siak ti Anak ti Dios.”'
44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
Ken dagiti agtatakaw a padana a nailansa isu met laeng ti insaoda a pananglais kenkuana.
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
Ita manipud iti maika-innem nga oras, immay ti sipnget iti daga inggana iti maikasiam nga oras.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Idi maikasiamen nga oras, nagpukkaw ni Jesus iti napigsa ket kinunana, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” a kayatna a sawen, “Diosko! Diosko! Apay a binaybay-annak?”
47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.
Idi nangngeg daytoy dagiti dadduma nga agtaktakder sadiay, kinunada, “Ay-ayabanna ni Elias.”
48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
Nagtaray a dagus ti maysa kadakuada ket nangala iti espongha, pinasagepsepanna iti naalsem nga arak, inkabilna iti murdong ti runo ket intedna kenkuana nga inumenna.
49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
Dadduma kadakuada ti nagkuna, “Bay-anyo isuna. Kitaentayo man no umay ispalen isuna ni Elias.”
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
Kalpasanna, nagpukkaw manen ni Jesus iti napigsa ket inyawatnan ti espirituna.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
Pagammoan, napigis ti kurtina iti templo a naguddua manipud ngato agingga iti baba. Nagginggined, ket naggudua dagiti batbato.
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Nalukatan dagiti tanem, ket nagungar dagiti bagi dagiti adu a nasantoan a tattao a pimmusayen.
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Rimmuarda kadagiti tanem kalpasan ti panagungarna, napan iti nasantoan a siudad, ken nagparang iti adu.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
Ita, idi nakita ti senturion ken dagiti mangkitkita kenni Jesus ti gin-gined ken dagiti banbanag a napasamak, nagbutengda iti kasta unay ket kinunada, '“Pudno a daytoy ti Anak ti Dios.”
55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
Adu a babbai a naggapu iti Galilea a simmursurot kenni Jesus tapno aywanda isuna ti adda sadiay ti kumitkita manipud iti adayo.
56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s children.
Maysa kadakuada ni Maria Magdalena, ni Maria nga ina ni Santiago ken ni Jose, ken ti ina dagiti annak a lallaki ni Zebedeo.
57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathæa, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple:
Idi rumabiin, adda immay a baknang a tao a naggapu idiay Arimatea nga agnagan Jose a maysa met nga adalan met laeng ni Jesus.
58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
Napan kenni Pilato ket dinawatna ti bagi ni Jesus. Ket imbilin ni Pilato a maited daytoy kenkuana.
59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
Innala ni Jose ti bagi, binalkotna daytoy iti nadalus a lupot a lino,
60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
ket inpaiddana iti baro a tanem iti kinungkonganna a bato. Ket nangitulid isuna iti dakkel a bato iti ruangan ti tanem sa pimmanaw.
61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
Adda sadiay da Maria Magdalena ken dadduma a Maria nga agtugtugaw iti batog ti tanem.
62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
Iti simmaruno nga aldaw, nga isu ti aldaw kalpasan ti Panagsagana, naguummong dagiti panguloen a papadi ken dagiti Pariseo a kaduada ni Pilato.
63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
Kinunada, “Apo, malagipmi nga idi sibibiag pay dayta a manangallilaw ket kinunana, 'Agungarakto kalpasan iti tallo nga aldaw.'
64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
Ibilinmo ngarud a mabantayan a nalaing ti tanem agimgga iti maikatlo nga aldaw. Ta no saan amangan no mapan takawen isuna dagiti adalanna ket ibagadanto kadagiti tattao, 'Nagungar isuna manipud kadagiti patay.' Ket dakdakesto ti maudi a panangallilaw ngem iti immuna.”
65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
Kinuna ni Pilato kadakuada, “Mangikuyogkayo iti agbantay. Mapankayo ket bantayanyo a nalaing.”
66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
Isu a napanda binantayan a nalaing ti tanem, sinerraanda a nalaing ti tanem ket pinabantayanda.
