Mark 13
1 AND as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
Cuando Él salió del Templo uno de sus discípulos le dijo: Maestro, ¡mira cuán grandes piedras y cuán grandes edificios!
2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Jesús le contestó: ¿Ves estos grandes edificios? Que de ningún modo quede aquí piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
Cuando Él estaba sentado en la Montaña de Los Olivos, frente al Santuario, Pedro, Jacobo, Juan y Andrés le preguntaban en privado:
4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
Dinos, ¿cuándo sucederá esto? ¿Y cuál será la señal que indica que todas estas cosas se van a cumplir?
5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
Entonces Jesús les respondió: Cuidado que nadie los engañe.
6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Vendrán muchos en mi Nombre y dirán: Yo soy. Engañarán a muchos.
7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
Cuando oigan de guerras y rumores de guerras, no se turben. Es necesario que sucedan, pero aún no es el fin.
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
Porque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino. Habrá terremotos en diversas regiones. Habrá hambrunas. Estas cosas serán principio de dolores de parto.
9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
Pero ustedes tengan cuidado. Los entregarán a los tribunales supremos, los azotarán en congregaciones y serán puestos en pie delante de gobernadores y reyes por causa de Mí, para testimonio a ellos.
10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
Primero tienen que proclamarse las Buenas Noticias a todas las naciones.
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Cuando los conduzcan para entregarlos, no se preocupen por lo que deben hablar, sino hablen lo que les sea dado en aquella hora. Porque no son ustedes los que hablan, sino el Espíritu Santo.
12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
[El] hermano entregará a su hermano a [la] muerte, y [el] padre al hijo, y [los] hijos se rebelarán contra [sus] progenitores y los matarán.
13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
[Ustedes] serán aborrecidos por todos a causa de mi Nombre, pero el que persevere hasta [el] fin será salvo.
14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand, ) then let them that be in Judæa flee to the mountains:
Pero cuando vean la [repugnancia] devastadora en pie donde no debe (el que lee, entienda), entonces los que estén en Judea huyan a las montañas.
15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
Quien esté en la azotea, no baje ni entre a recoger algo de su casa,
16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
y el que esté en el campo, no regrese a tomar su ropa.
17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Pero, ¡ay de las que estén embarazadas y de las que amamanten en aquellos días!
18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
Hablen con Dios para que no sea en invierno.
19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
Porque aquellos días serán una tribulación como no hubo desde [el] principio de [la] creación que Dios hizo, hasta ahora y que de ningún modo haya jamás.
20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
Si el Señor no acortara aquellos días, nadie sería salvo, pero por causa de los escogidos los acortó.
21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
Entonces, si alguien les dice: ¡Mira, aquí está el Cristo! ¡Mira, está allí! No [lo] crean.
22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Porque se levantarán falsos cristos y falsos profetas. Mostrarán señales y prodigios a fin de extraviar a los escogidos, si fuera posible.
23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Pero ustedes estén alerta. Les predije todas las cosas.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Pero en aquellos días, después de aquella tribulación, el sol se oscurecerá, la luna no dará su claridad nocturna,
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
las estrellas caerán del cielo, y las potencias que están en los cielos serán sacudidas.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
En ese tiempo verán al Hijo del Hombre que viene en [las] nubes con gran poder y gloria.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
Entonces enviará a los ángeles y reunirá a los escogidos de los cuatro puntos cardinales, desde [el] extremo de [la] tierra hasta [el] extremo del cielo.
28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
De la higuera aprendan la parábola: Cuando ya su rama enternece y brotan sus hojas, saben que el verano está cerca.
29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
Así también ustedes, cuando vean que suceden estas cosas, sepan que está cerca, a [las] puertas.
30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
En verdad les digo: Que de ningún modo pase este linaje hasta que se cumplan todas estas cosas.
31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras de ningún modo pasarán.
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Con respecto a aquel día o la hora, nadie sabe, ni los ángeles en [el] cielo, ni el Hijo, sino el Padre.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Cuidado, estén alerta, porque no saben cuándo es el tiempo.
34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Sucederá como cuando un hombre viaja y deja su casa. Da a sus esclavos la autoridad, a cada uno su trabajo y ordena al portero que vigile.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Velen, pues, porque no saben cuándo viene el señor de la casa: si en la tarde, a media noche, al canto del gallo o en la mañana,
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
no sea que, al llegar de repente, los halle dormidos.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Lo que digo a ustedes, digo a todos: ¡Velen!
