< Job 35 >
1 ELIHU spake moreover, and said,
Le hoe ty natovo’ i Eliho:
2 Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s?
Atao’o mahity hao i nanoe’o ty hoe, Izaho ro vantañe te aman’ Añahare.
3 For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
Fa hoe irehe, Inoñe ty ho tombo’e ho azo? Ino ty ho tambeko mandikoatse te tsy nandilatse?
4 I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
Hanoiñe azo naho o rañe’o mindre ama’oo iraho.
5 Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
Mitalakesa mb’andikerañe ey vaho Mahaisaha; Heheke o rahoñeo, ambòne’o iereo.
6 If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
Ihe mandilatse, Mijoy aze hao? Ie bey hakeo, Inoñe ty anoe’o ama’e?
7 If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?
Ie vantan-drehe, ino ty atolo’o aze, ke ino ty rambese’e am-pità’o?
8 Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.
Ho ama’ ondaty manahak’ azo ty hatsivokara’o naho amo ana’ ondatio ty havañona’o.
9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
O hamarom-pamorekekeañeo ty itoreova’ iareo, ty sira maoza’ i maroy ty ikaiha’iareo,
10 But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
fe tsy eo ty manao: Aia t’i Andrianamboatse ahy, i Mpañomey sabo an-kaleñey,
11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
i mañòke raha maro amantika te amo bibi’ ty tane toioy, vaho ampahihire’e ambone’ o voron-tiokeo?
12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
Eo ty mikaike, f’ie tsy manoiñe ty amy firengevoha’ ondaty raty tserekeoy.
13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
Toe tsy janjin’ Añahare ty raha kafoake; tsy haoñe’ i El-Sadai,
14 Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.
Antsake t’ie manao te tsy mahaoniñe aze; aolo’e eo ty enta’o, aa le liñiso;
15 But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:
Ie henaneo, mbe tsy nitilihe’e an-kaviñera’e, tsy loho nihaoñe’e o fandilarañeo.
16 Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
Aa le evoñe ty aakam-palie’ Iobe; ampitomboa’e lañonañe tsy aman-kilala.
