< Job 24 >
1 WHY, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
“Adɛn nti na Onyankopɔn nhyɛ bere mma atemmu? Adɛn nti na ɛsɛ sɛ wɔn a wonim no no hwɛ saa da no anim nanso ɛmma da?
2 Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
Nnipa yiyi abo a wɔde ato ɔhye; na wɔde nguankuw a wɔawia kɔ hɔ adidi.
3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow’s ox for a pledge.
Wɔpam ayisaa mfurum na wogye akunafo anantwi sɛ awowaside.
4 They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
Wosum ahiafo fi kwan so na wɔhyɛ asase no so ahiafo ma wɔkɔtetɛw.
5 Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
Sɛnea sare so mfurum yɛ no saa ara na ahiafo no yɛ wɔn adwuma de pɛ aduan; asase kesee no so na wonya aduan ma wɔn mma.
6 They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
Wɔboaboa mmoa aduan ano wɔ mfuw no so na wodi mpɛpɛ wɔ amumɔyɛfo bobe nturo mu.
7 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
Wonni ntama, na wɔda adagyaw anadwo; wonni hwee a wɔde kata wɔn ho wɔ awɔw mu.
8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
Mmepɔw so osu tɔ fɔw wɔn kyam na wɔtetare abotan no ho, efisɛ wonni nnae.
9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
Wɔtew ayisaa fi nufu ano; na wɔfa ohiani abotafowa de si ne ka anan mu.
10 They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
Wɔnenam adagyaw a wonni ntama; wɔsoa awi afiafi, nanso ɔkɔm de wɔn ara.
11 Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
Wokyi ngo wɔn adan mu; wotiatia nsakyiamoa mu, nanso osukɔm de wɔn.
12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.
Wɔn a wɔrewuwu no apinisi fi kuropɔn no mu, na apirafo kra su pɛ mmoa. Nanso Onyankopɔn mfa bɔne nto obiara so.
13 They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
“Ebinom wɔ hɔ a wɔsɔre tia hann no, wɔn a wonnim nʼakwan anaasɛ wɔnnantew nʼatempɔn so no.
14 The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
Sɛ adekyee hann no kɔ a, owudifo no sɔre na okum ohiani ne mmɔborɔni; anadwo, mu owiawia ne ho sɛ ɔkorɔmfo.
15 The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.
Ɔwaresɛefo twɛn bere a anim rebiribiri; ɔka se, ‘obiara renhu me,’ na ɔde nʼanim hintaw.
16 In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
Sum mu na nnipa bubu apon wura afi mu, na adekyee, wɔtoto wɔn ho apon mu; wɔne hann nni hwee yɛ.
17 For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
Sum kabii yɛ adekyee ma wɔn nyinaa; wɔne sum mu nneɛma a ɛyɛ hu fa nnamfo.
18 He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
“Nanso wɔte sɛ ahuru a ɛte nsu ani; wɔadome wɔn kyɛfa wɔ asase no so, enti obiara nkɔ bobe nturo no mu.
19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned. (Sheol )
Sɛnea ɔhyew ne ɔpɛ hwim sukyerɛmma a anan kɔ no, saa ara na ɔda de wɔn a wɔayɛ bɔne kɔ ne no. (Sheol )
20 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
Awotwaa werɛ fi wɔn, na osunson di wɔn nam; nnipa bɔne de wɔnnkae wɔn bio na mmom wobubu te sɛ dua.
21 He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
Wɔde ɔbea bonin a onni ba yɛ hanam, na wonhu akunafo mmɔbɔ.
22 He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
Onyankopɔn nam ne tumi so twe atumfo kɔ; ɛwɔ mu sɛ wonya asetena pa de, nanso wonni nkwa ho bɔhyɛ.
23 Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
Otumi ma wɔn tena ase asomdwoe mu, nanso nʼani wɔ wɔn akwan so.
24 They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
Wɔma wɔn so bere tiaa bi, na afei wonni hɔ bio; wɔbrɛ wɔn ase boaboa wɔn ano sɛ nnipa nyinaa; wotwitwa wɔn gu te sɛ aburow ti.
25 And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
“Sɛ eyi nte saa a, hena na obetumi agye me akyinnye na ama nea maka no ayɛ nsɛnhunu?”
