< Job 14 >
1 MAN that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
“Kut nukewa isusla tuh munas ac tia ku in sifacna. Moul lasr nukewa fototo ac sessesla ke mwe ongoiya.
2 He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
Kut kapak na sa na in uli oana ros uh; Ac kut wanginla oana lul uh.
3 And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?
O God, ya kom ku in ngetma ac nunku ke kain mwet se nga uh, Ku eisyuyang nu in nununku?
4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
Wangin ma nasnas ku in tuku Liki sie ma su arulana fohkfok oana mwet uh.
5 Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
Lusen moul lal nuna oakwuki na meet — Aok, pisen malem ma el ac moul uh. Kom orala tari oakwuk lom, ac tia ku in ikilyukla.
6 Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day.
Ngetla lukel ac nimet lusrongol. Lela elan engankin moul upa se inge, el fin ku.
7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
“Oasr finsrak ke soko sak ma pakpuki tari — Mweyen ac ku in sifil srunak ac moul.
8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
Okah uh finne matuoh, Ac srua uh misa infohk uh,
9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
Fin oasr kof pusralla na ac sifilpa kapak oana soko sak fusr.
10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?
A mwet se fin misa, na fuka? Ke el misa uh, pa na ingan saflaiyal.
11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:
“Oana sie lulu su paola, Ac soko infacl su tila soror,
12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
Ouinge mwet uh ac misa, ac tia sifil moulyak. Nwe ke pacl se kusrao ac fah wanginla, elos fah tia ngutalik; Ku mukuila liki motul lalos.
13 O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! (Sheol )
“Nga ke kom in wikinyula in facl sin mwet misa; Lela in wikinyukla nga nwe ke na kasrkusrak lom uh wanginla, Ac kom oakiya sie pacl an in esamyu. (Sheol )
14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
Ku mwet se fin misa, ya el ku in sifil moulyak? Tusruktu, nga ac soano in oasr pacl wo se, Ke pacl koluk se inge ac wanginla.
15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.
Na kom fah pang ac nga ac topuk kom, Ac kom fah insewowo keik, su ma orekla lun poum.
16 For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?
Na kom fah karingin fahluk nukewa luk, A kom fah tia oakla ma koluk luk.
17 My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.
Kom ac fah nunak munas kac, ac mulkunla ma inge; Kom ac fah eela ma sufal nukewa ma nga orala.
18 And surely the mountain falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of his place.
“Sie pacl eol uh ac mokukla, Ac fulu uh ac mokleyukla.
19 The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man.
Kof uh ac fah kangla eot uh, Ac af upa ac fah pahtkakunla fohkon acn uh; Ouinge kom fah kunausla finsrak lun mwet uh ke moul lalos.
20 Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.
Kom kunausla ku lun sie mwet ac lusulla ma pahtpat; Ac mutal irelik in misa lal.
21 His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them.
Wen natul uh ac fah sunakinyuk, a el ac tia ku in etu, Ke ac akmwekinyeyukla tulik natul, ac tia pac akkalemyeyuk nu sel.
22 But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
El ac pula na ngal lun manol, Ac asor lun nunak lal mukena.”
