Jeremiah 7

1 THE word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,

۱ کلامی که از جانب خداوند به ارمیا نازل شده، گفت:

2 Stand in the gate of the Lord’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord.

۲ «به دروازه خانه خداوندبایست و این کلام را در آنجا ندا کرده، بگو: ای تمامی یهودا که به این دروازه‌ها داخل شده، خداوند را سجده می‌نمایید کلام خداوند رابشنوید.

3 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

۳ یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: طریق‌ها و اعمال خود را اصلاح کنید ومن شما را در این مکان ساکن خواهم گردانید.

4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, are these.

۴ به سخنان دروغ توکل منمایید و مگویید که هیکل یهوه، هیکل یهوه، هیکل یهوه این است.

5 For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;

۵ زیرا اگر به تحقیق طریق‌ها و اعمال خود را اصلاح کنید و انصاف را در میان یکدیگر بعمل آورید،

6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:

۶ و بر غریبان و یتیمان و بیوه‌زنان ظلم ننمایید وخون بی‌گناهان را در این مکان نریزید و خدایان غیر را به جهت ضرر خویش پیروی ننمایید،

7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.

۷ آنگاه شما را در این مکان در زمینی که به پدران شما از ازل تا به ابد داده‌ام ساکن خواهم گردانید.

8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

۸ اینک شما به سخنان دروغی که منفعت نداردتوکل می‌نمایید.

9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;

۹ آیا مرتکب دزدی و زنا و قتل نمی شوید و به دروغ قسم نمی خورید و برای بعل بخور نمی سوزانید؟ و آیا خدایان غیر را که نمی شناسید پیروی نمی نمایید؟

10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?

۱۰ و داخل شده، به حضور من در این خانه‌ای که به اسم من مسمی است می‌ایستید و می‌گویید که به گردن تمام این رجاسات سپرده شده‌ایم.

11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord.

۱۱ آیا این خانه‌ای که به اسم من مسمی است در نظر شمامغاره دزدان شده است؟ و خداوند می‌گوید: اینک من نیز این را دیده‌ام.

12 But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

۱۲ لکن به مکان من که در شیلو بود و نام خود را اول در آنجا قرار داده بودم بروید و آنچه را که به‌سبب شرارت قوم خود اسرائیل به آنجا کرده‌ام ملاحظه نمایید.

13 And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the Lord, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;

۱۳ پس حال خداوند می‌گوید: از آنرو که تمام این اعمال را بجا آوردید با آنکه من صبح زودبرخاسته، به شما تکلم نموده، سخن راندم امانشنیدید و شما را خواندم اما جواب ندادید.

14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

۱۴ ازاین جهت به این خانه‌ای که به اسم من مسمی است و شما به آن توکل دارید و به مکانی که به شما و به پدران شما دادم به نوعی که به شیلو عمل نمودم عمل خواهم کرد.

15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

۱۵ و شما را از حضورخود خواهم راند به نوعی که جمیع برادران شما یعنی تمام ذریت افرایم را راندم.

16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

۱۶ پس تو برای این قوم دعا مکن و به جهت ایشان آواز تضرع واستغاثه بلند منما و نزد من شفاعت مکن زیرا که من تو را اجابت نخواهم نمود.

17 Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

۱۷ آیا آنچه را که ایشان در شهرهای یهودا و کوچه های اورشلیم می‌کنند نمی بینی؟

18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

۱۸ پسران، هیزم جمع می‌کنندو پدران، آتش می‌افروزند و زنان، خمیرمی سرشند تا قرصها برای ملکه آسمان بسازند وهدایای ریختنی برای خدایان غیر ریخته مرامتغیر سازند.

19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the Lord: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

۱۹ اما خداوند می‌گوید آیا مرامتغیر می‌سازند؟ نی بلکه خویشتن را تا رویهای خود را رسوا سازند.

20 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

۲۰ بنابراین خداوند یهوه چنین می‌گوید: اینک خشم و غضب من بر این مکان برانسان و بر بهایم و بر درختان صحرا و برمحصول زمین ریخته خواهد شد و افروخته شده، خاموش نخواهد گردید.

21 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.

۲۱ «یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: قربانی های سوختنی خود را بر ذبایح خویش مزید کنید و گوشت بخورید.

22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

۲۲ زیرا که به پدران شما سخن نگفتم و در روزی که ایشان رااز زمین مصر بیرون آوردم آنها را درباره قربانی های سوختنی و ذبایح امر نفرمودم.

23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

۲۳ بلکه ایشان را به این چیز امر فرموده، گفتم که قول مرابشنوید ومن خدای شما خواهم بود و شما قوم من خواهید بود و بهر طریقی که به شما حکم نمایم سلوک نمایید تا برای شما نیکو باشد.

24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

۲۴ اماایشان نشنیدند و گوش خود را فرا نداشتند بلکه برحسب مشورتها و سرکشی دل شریر خود رفتارنمودند و به عقب افتادند و پیش نیامدند.

25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:

۲۵ ازروزی که پدران شما از زمین مصر بیرون آمدند تا امروز جمیع بندگان خود انبیا را نزد شما فرستادم بلکه هر روز صبح زود برخاسته، ایشان را ارسال نمودم.

26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.

۲۶ اما ایشان نشنیدند و گوش خود را فرانداشتند بلکه گردن خویش را سخت نموده، ازپدران خود بدتر عمل نمودند.

27 Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

۲۷ پس تو تمامی این سخنان را به ایشان بگو اما تو را نخواهند شنیدو ایشان را بخوان اما ایشان تو را جواب نخواهندداد.

28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

۲۸ و به ایشان بگو: اینان قومی می‌باشند که قول یهوه خدای خویش را نمی شنوند و تادیب نمی پذیرند زیرا راستی نابود گردیده و از دهان ایشان قطع شده است.

29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the Lord hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.

۲۹ (ای اورشلیم ) موی خود را تراشیده، دور بینداز و بر بلندیها آوازنوحه برافراز زیرا خداوند طبقه مغضوب خود رارد و ترک نموده است.

30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the Lord: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.

۳۰ «چونکه خداوند می‌گوید بنی یهودا آنچه را که در نظر من ناپسند است بعمل آوردند ورجاسات خویش را در خانه‌ای که به اسم من مسمی است برپانموده، آن را نجس ساختند.

31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.

۳۱ ومکان های بلند خود را در توفت که در وادی ابن حنوم است بنا نمودند تا پسران و دختران خویش را در آتش بسوزانند که من اینکار را امر نفرموده بودم و بخاطر خویش نیاورده.

32 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.

۳۲ بنابراین خداوند می‌گوید: اینک روزها می‌آید که آن باردیگر به توفت و وادی ابن حنوم مسمی نخواهدشد بلکه به وادی قتل و در توفت دفن خواهند کردتا جایی باقی نماند.

33 And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.

۳۳ و لاشهای این قوم خوراک مرغان هوا و جانوران زمین خواهد بود وکسی آنهارا نخواهد ترسانید.

34 Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

۳۴ و از شهرهای یهودا و کوچه های اورشلیم آواز شادمانی و آواز خوشی و صدای داماد و صدای عروس را نابود خواهم ساخت زیرا که آن زمین ویران خواهد شد.»
