Jeremiah 52
1 ZEDEKIAH was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
১সিদিকিয় একুশ বছর বয়সে রাজত্ব করতে শুরু করেন, তিনি এগারো বছর যিরুশালেমে রাজত্ব করেন; তার মায়ের নাম হমুটল; তিনি লিবনা নিবাসী যিরমিয়ের মেয়ে।
2 And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
২যিহোয়াকীমের সব কাজ অনুসারে সিদিকিয় সদাপ্রভুর চোখে যা খারাপ তাই করতেন।
3 For through the anger of the Lord it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
৩যিরূশালেম ও যিহূদায় সদাপ্রভু ক্রোধজনিত ঘটনা হল যে পর্যন্ত না তিনি নিজের সামনে থেকে তাদেরকে দূরে ফেলে দিলেন, আর সিদিকিয় বাবিলের রাজার বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করলেন।
4 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.
৪পরে তাঁর রাজত্বের নবম বছরের দশম মাসের দশ দিনের দিন বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদনিৎসর ও তাঁর সমস্ত সৈন্য যিরূশালেমের বিরুদ্ধে আসলেন। তারা বিপরীত দিকে শিবির স্থাপন করল এবং তারা এর চারিদিকে ঢিবি তৈরী করল।
5 So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
৫সিদিকিয়ের রাজত্বের এগারো বছর পর্যন্ত শহরটা ঘেরাও করে রাখা হল।
6 And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
৬চতুর্থ মাসের নয় দিনের র দিন শহরে মহাদূর্ভিক্ষ হয়েছিল, দেশে লোকদের খাদ্যদ্রব্য কিছুই থাকলো না।
7 Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about: ) and they went by the way of the plain.
৭পরে শহরের একটা জায়গা ভেঙে গেল এবং সমস্ত যোদ্ধা শহর থেকে বাইরে গিয়ে রাজার বাগানের কাছাকাছি দুই প্রাচীরের দরজার পথ দিয়ে পালিয়ে গেল তখন কলদীয়েরা শহরের বিরুদ্ধে চারিদিকে ছিল আর ওরা অরাবার দিকে গেল।
8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
৮কলদীয়দের সৈন্য রাজার পিছনে দৌড়ে গিয়ে যিরীহোর সমভূমিতে সিদিকিয়কে ধরল, তাতে তার সব সৈন্য তার কাছ থেকে ছিন্নভিন্ন হল।
9 Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.
৯তখন তারা রাজাকে ধরে হমাৎ দেশের রিব্লাতে বাবিলের রাজার কাছে নিয়ে গেল, পরে তিনি তার শাস্তি দিলেন।
10 And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.
১০বাবিলের রাজা সিদিকিয়ের চোখের সামনেই তাঁর ছেলেদের মেরে ফেললেন এবং যিহূদার সমস্ত নেতাদেরও রিব্লাতে মেরে ফেললেন; আর সিদিকিয়ের চোখ তুলে ফেললেন;
11 Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.
১১পরে বাবিলের রাজা তার শিকলে বেঁধে নিয়ে গেলেন এবং তার মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত সিদিকিয়কে কারাগারে রেখে দিলেন।
12 Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,
১২পরে পঞ্চম মাসের দশম দিনের বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদনিৎসরের ঊনিশ বছরের রক্ষক সেনাপতি নবূষরদন যিনি বাবিলের রাজার সামনে দাঁড়াতেন সেই যিরূশালেমে আসলেন।
13 And burned the house of the Lord, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:
১৩তিনি সদাপ্রভুর ঘর ও রাজবাড়ী পুড়িয়ে দিলেন এবং যিরুশালেমের সমস্ত বাড়ি ও বড় বড় বাড়ি তিনি পুড়িয়ে ফেললেন।
14 And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
১৪আর রাজার রক্ষীদলের সেনাপতির অধীনে সমস্ত কলদীয় সৈন্য যিরূশালেমের সব দেয়াল ভেঙে ফেলল।
15 Then Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carried away captive certain of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.
১৫আর রক্ষীদলের সেনাপতি নবূষরদন কিছু গরিব লোককে, শহরে পরিত্যক্ত বাকি লোকদেরকে ও বাদবাকী কারিগরদের এবং যারা বাবিলের রাজার পক্ষে গিয়েছিল তাদের বন্দী করে নিয়ে গেলেন।
16 But Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.
১৬কিন্তু আঙ্গুর ক্ষেত দেখাশোনা ও জমি চাষ করবার জন্য রক্ষী সেনাপতি নবূষরদন কিছু গরিব লোককে তিনি দেশে রাখলেন।
17 Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.
১৭আর সদাপ্রভুর ঘরের ব্রোঞ্জের দুটি থাম, সদাপ্রভুর গৃহের পীঠ সব এবং ব্রোঞ্জের সমুদ্র পাত্রটি ভেঙে টুকরো টুকরো করে বাবিলে নিয়ে গেল।
18 The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
১৮আর পাত্র, বেলচা, শলতে পরিষ্কার করবার চিমটি এবং মন্দিরের সেবার জন্য অন্যান্য সমস্ত ব্রোঞ্জের জিনিস নিয়ে গেল।
19 And the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.
১৯গামলা, ধূপ দাহনকারী, বাটি, পাত্র, বাতিদান, চাটু এবং জলসেক প্রভৃতি সোনার পাত্রের সোনা, রূপার পাত্রের রূপা রক্ষ সেনাপতি নিয়ে গেলেন।
20 The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the Lord: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
২০যে দুই থাম এক সমুদ্র পাত্র ও পীঠ সবের নীচে বারোটি পিতলের ষাঁড় রাজা শলোমন সদাপ্রভুর গৃহের জন্য তৈরী করেছিলেন, সেই সব পাত্রের পিতল অপরিমিত ছিল।
21 And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.
২১ফলে ওই দুই থামের প্রত্যেকের উচ্চতা আঠারো হাত ও বারো হাত চওড়া ছিল এবং তার চার আঙ্গুল মোটা ছিল; তা ফাঁপা ছিল।
22 And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.
২২আর তার ওপরে পাঁচ হাত উঁচু পিতলের এক মাথা ছিল এবং সেই মাথার চারপাশে জালের কাজ ছিল ও দাড়িম্বের মতো ছিল। সে সব পিতলের এবং দ্বিতীয় থামেও ঐ আকারের দাড়িম্ব ছিল।
23 And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about.
২৩পাশে ছিয়ানব্বইটা দাড়িম্ব ছিল চারিদিকে জালিকাজের ওপরে একশো দাড়িম্ব ছিল।
24 And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
২৪পরে রক্ষ সেনাপতি মহাযাজক সরায়কে, দ্বিতীয় যাজক সফনিয় ও তিনজন দারোয়ানকে ধরলেন।
25 He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king’s person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.
২৫আর তিনি শহর থেকে যোদ্ধাদের ওপরে নিযুক্ত একজন কর্মচারীকে এবং যারা রাজাকে দেখতেন, তাদের মধ্যে শহরে পাওয়া সাত জন লোককে, দেশের লোক সংগ্রহকারী সেনাপতির লেখককেও শহরের মধ্যে পাওয়া দেশের লেখকদের মধ্যে ষাটজনকে ধরলেন।
26 So Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
২৬রক্ষ সেনাপতি নবূষরদন তাদেরকে ধরে রিব্লাতে বাবিলের রাজার কাছে নিয়ে গেলেন।
27 And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.
২৭আর বাবিলের রাজা হমাৎ দেশের রিব্লাতে তাদেরকে আঘাত করে হত্যা করলেন। এই ভাবে যিহূদা নিজেদের দেশ থেকে বন্দী হয়ে গেল।
28 This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:
২৮নবূখদনিৎসর যাদেরকে বন্দী করেছিলেন তাদের সংখ্যা হল এই: সপ্তম বছরে তিন হাজার তেইশজন যিহূদী,
29 In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons:
২৯নবূখদনিৎসরের রাজত্বের আঠারো বছরের দিন তিনি যিরূশালেম থেকে আটশো বত্রিশজন যিহূদী বন্দী করে নিয়ে যান;
30 In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.
৩০নবূখদনিৎসরের তেইশ বছরের দিন রক্ষীদলের সেনাপতি নবূষরদন সাতশো পঁয়তাল্লিশজন যিহূদীকে বন্দী করে নিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন। মোট বন্দী লোক চার হাজার ছশো।
31 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,
৩১যিহূদার রাজা যিহোয়াখীনের বন্দীত্বের সাঁইত্রিশ বছরের দিন ইবিল-মরোদক বাবিলের রাজা হলেন। তিনি সেই বছরের বারো মাসের পঁচিশ দিনের র দিন যিহোয়াখীনকে কারাগার থেকে ছেড়ে দিলেন।
32 And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,
৩২তিনি যিহোয়াখীনের সঙ্গে ভালভাবে কথা বললেন এবং বাবিলে তাঁর সঙ্গে আর যে সব রাজারা ছিলেন তাঁদের চেয়েও তাঁকে আরও সম্মানের আসন দিলেন।
33 And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.
৩৩ইবিল-মরোদক যিহোয়াখীনের কারাগারের পোশাক খুলে ফেললেন এবং জীবনের বাকি দিন গুলো নিয়মিতভাবে রাজার টেবিলে খেতেন।
34 And for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
৩৪আর তার মৃত্যুদিন পর্যন্ত তাকে প্রতিদিন খাবার ভাতা দেওয়া হত।
