Colossians 3
1 IF ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Si fueron resucitados con Cristo, busquen las cosas de arriba, donde Cristo está sentado a la mano derecha de Dios.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Pongan la mente en las cosas de arriba, no en las de la tierra.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Porque murieron y su vida fue escondida con Cristo en Dios.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Cuando se manifieste Cristo, [Quien es ]su vida, entonces también ustedes se manifestarán con Él en gloria.
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Por tanto hagan morir lo terrenal en ustedes: inmoralidad sexual, impureza, pasión desordenada, deseo malo y la avaricia, que es idolatría.
6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
[Son] cosas por las cuales viene la ira de Dios,
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
en las cuales también ustedes anduvieron en otro tiempo, cuando vivían en ellas.
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Pero ahora, despójense también de todas estas cosas: ira, enojo, malicia, maledicencia y lenguaje obsceno de su boca.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Después de despojarse el viejo ser con sus prácticas, no se mientan unos a otros.
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Vístanse con el nuevo, el cual es renovado hasta [el] conocimiento pleno, conforme a [la] imagen del que lo creó.
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Aquí no hay [distinción entre ]griego y judío, circuncisión e incircuncisión, bárbaro, escita, esclavo y libre, sino Cristo es todo en todos.
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Así que, como escogidos de Dios, santos y amados, vístanse de sentimientos afectuosos profundos, bondad, humildad, mansedumbre y longanimidad.
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Sopórtense y perdónense los unos a los otros cuando alguno tenga queja contra otro. Como el Señor ciertamente los perdonó, así también ustedes.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Sobre todas estas cosas, [vístanse] el amor, que es [el ]cinturón de la perfección.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
La paz de Cristo actúe como árbitro en sus corazones, a la cual también fueron llamados en un solo cuerpo. Sean agradecidos.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
La Palabra de Cristo viva abundantemente en ustedes, con toda sabiduría. Enséñense y amonéstense con salmos, himnos y cantos espirituales. Canten con gracia en sus corazones a Dios.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Todo lo que [hagan], en palabra y en obra, háganlo en el Nombre del Señor Jesús y den gracias a Dios Padre por medio de Él.
18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
Las esposas sométanse a los esposos, como conviene en [el] Señor.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
Los esposos amen a sus esposas y no sean ásperos con ellas.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
Los hijos obedezcan a sus progenitores en todo, porque esto es aceptable ante [el] Señor.
21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
Los padres no irriten a sus hijos para que no pierdan [el] ánimo.
22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
Los esclavos obedezcan en todo a sus amos humanos. No sirvan al ojo, como los que tratan de agradar a la gente, sino con sinceridad de corazón con temor al Señor.
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Lo que hagan sea de corazón, como para el Señor y no para [los ]hombres,
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
pues saben que obtendrán la herencia del Señor como recompensa. Sirvan al Señor Cristo.
25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
Pero el que hace injusticia obtendrá la injusticia que cometió, porque no hay acepción de personas.
