2 Chronicles 2
1 AND Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the Lord, and an house for his kingdom.
சாலொமோன் யெகோவாவின் பெயருக்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தையும் தனக்கு ஒரு அரச அரண்மனையையும் கட்டுவதற்கு உத்தரவிட்டான்.
2 And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.
சாலொமோன் சுமை சுமப்பதற்கு 70,000 பேரையும், குன்றுகளில் கற்களை வெட்டுவதற்கு 80,000 பேரையும் அவர்களை மேற்பார்வை செய்வதற்கு 3,600 பேரையும் கட்டாய வேலைக்கு அமர்த்தினான்.
3 And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, even so deal with me.
சாலொமோன் தீருவின் அரசன் ஈராமுக்கு ஒரு செய்தியை அனுப்பினான். அதில், “நீர் எனது தகப்பன் தாவீது கேட்டபோது, அவர் குடியிருக்க அரண்மனை கட்டுவதற்கு கேதுரு மரங்களை அனுப்பினீர், அதுபோல் எனக்கும் கேதுரு மரங்களை அனுப்பும்.
4 Behold, I build an house to the name of the Lord my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the Lord our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.
நான் யெகோவாவாகிய என் இறைவனின் பெயருக்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டி, அதை அவருக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்க விரும்புகிறேன். அவருக்கு நறுமண தூபங்காட்டுவதற்கும், பரிசுத்த அப்பங்களை வைப்பதற்கும் ஒவ்வொரு காலையிலும், மாலையிலும், ஓய்வுநாட்களிலும், அமாவாசை நாட்களிலும், எங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா நியமித்த பண்டிகை நாட்களிலும் தகன காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்துகிறதற்கும் அந்த ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டப்போகிறேன். இக்காணிக்கைகள் இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு ஒரு நிரந்தர நியமமாயிருக்கிறது.
5 And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.
“நான் கட்டப்போகிற ஆலயம் மேன்மையுடையதாய் இருக்கும். ஏனெனில் எங்கள் இறைவன் மற்ற எல்லா தெய்வங்களையும்விட மேலானவர்.
6 But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?
வானங்களும் வானாதி வானங்களும் அவரை உள்ளடக்க முடியாதிருக்க அவருக்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டக்கூடியவன் யார்? அப்படியிருக்க அவருக்கு முன்பாகத் தகனபலியிட ஒரு இடத்தை கட்டுவதைத்தவிர அவருக்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவதற்கு நான் யார்?
7 Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.
“எனவே தங்கம், வெள்ளி, வெண்கலம், இரும்பு ஆகியவற்றால் வேலைசெய்யக்கூடிய திறமையுள்ளவனும், ஊதா, கருஞ்சிவப்பு, நீலம் ஆகிய நூலினால் வேலைசெய்யக்கூடிய திறமையுள்ளவனும், செதுக்கு வேலைசெய்வதில் அனுபவமுள்ளவனுமான ஒருவனை அனுப்பும். அவன் யூதாவிலும் எருசலேமிலும் எனது தந்தை தாவீது நியமித்திருக்கிற திறமையுள்ள தொழிலாளிகளுடன் சேர்ந்து வேலைசெய்யட்டும்.
8 Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants,
“அத்துடன் நீர் எனக்கு லெபனோனிலிருந்து கேதுரு, தேவதாரு, அல்மக் வாசனை மரங்களையும் அனுப்பிவையும். ஏனெனில் அங்கே உள்ள உமது மனிதர் மரம் வெட்டுவதில் திறமையுள்ளவர்கள் என்பது எனக்குத் தெரியும். எனது மனிதர்களும் அவர்களுடன் வேலை செய்வார்கள்.
9 Even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the house which I am about to build shall be wonderful great.
அவர்கள் எனக்கு ஏராளமான வெட்டிய மரத்துண்டுகளைக் கொடுப்பார்கள். ஏனெனில் நான் கட்டப்போகும் ஆலயம் மிகப்பெரியதாயும், கெம்பீரமானதாயும் இருக்கவேண்டும்.
10 And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.
நான் மரங்களை வெட்டும் உமது வேலையாட்களுக்கு 3,000 டன் அளவுள்ள கோதுமை, 3,000 டன் வாற்கோதுமை, 20,000 குடம் திராட்சை இரசம், 20,000 குடம் ஒலிவ எண்ணெய் ஆகியவற்றைக் கொடுப்பேன்” என்றிருந்தது.
11 Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the Lord hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them.
சாலொமோனின் கடிதத்திற்கு தீருவின் அரசன் ஈராம், “யெகோவா தமது மக்களை நேசிப்பதனால் உம்மை அவர்களுக்கு அரசனாக்கியிருக்கிறார்” எனப் பதிலனுப்பினான்.
12 Huram said moreover, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the Lord, and an house for his kingdom.
பின்னும் ஈராம், “வானத்தையும், பூமியையும் படைத்த இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குத் துதி உண்டாவதாக! அவர், அரசன் தாவீதுக்கு நுண்ணறிவும், பகுத்தறிவும் நிரம்பிய ஞானமுள்ள ஒரு மகனைக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். அவன் யெகோவாவுக்கு ஒரு ஆலயத்தையும் தனக்கு ஒரு அரண்மனையையும் கட்டுவான்.
13 And now I have sent a cunning man, endued with understanding, of Huram my father’s,
“நான் ஈராம் அபி என்னும் திறமையுள்ள ஒருவனை உம்மிடத்திற்கு அனுப்புகிறேன்.
14 The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.
அவனுடைய தாய் தாண் நாட்டையும், தகப்பன் தீரு தேசத்தையும் சேர்ந்தவர்கள். அவன் தங்கம், வெள்ளி, வெண்கலம், இரும்பு, கல், மரப்பலகை ஆகியவற்றிலும், ஊதா, நீலம், கருஞ்சிவப்புநூல், மென்பட்டு நூல் ஆகியவற்றிலும் வேலைசெய்யப் பயிற்றுவிக்கப்பட்டவன். அவன் எல்லாவித செதுக்கு வேலைகளையும், எல்லாவித பொறிக்கும் வேலைகளையும், எந்த வகை மாதிரி வடிவத்தையும் செய்யக் கூடியவனுமாயிருக்கிறான். அவன் உம்முடைய திறமையான கைவினைஞர்களோடும் உமது தகப்பனும், எனது தலைவனுமான தாவீதின் திறமையான கைவினைஞர்களோடும் சேர்ந்து வேலைசெய்வான்.
15 Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:
“எனவே என் தலைவனே, நீர் சொன்னபடி கோதுமை, வாற்கோதுமை, ஒலிவ எண்ணெய், திராட்சை இரசம் ஆகியவற்றை உமது வேலைக்காரருக்குக் கொடுத்து அனுப்பும்.
16 And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need: and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem.
நாங்கள் உமக்குத் தேவையான மரங்களை லெபனோனில் வெட்டி, அவற்றைக் கட்டு மரங்களைப்போல் கட்டி, கடல் வழியாக யோப்பாவரை அனுப்புவோம். அப்பொழுது நீர் அதை எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுபோகலாம்” எனவும் எழுதியிருந்தான்.
17 And Solomon numbered all the strangers that were in the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred.
தன் தந்தை தாவீது இஸ்ரயேலில் இருக்கும் அந்நியரை கணக்கெடுத்ததுபோல, சாலொமோனும் கணக்கிட்டபோது அங்கே 1,53,600 பேர் இருந்தனர்.
18 And he set threescore and ten thousand of them to be bearers of burdens, and fourscore thousand to be hewers in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people a work.
அவன் இவர்களில் 70,000 பேரை சுமை சுமப்பவர்களாகவும், 80,000 பேரை குன்றுகளில் கல் வெட்டுபவர்களாகவும், 3,600 பேரை வேலை செய்பவர்களுக்கு மேற்பார்வையாளர்களாகவும் நியமித்தான்.
