1 Timothy 1
1 PAUL, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
අස්මාකං ත්‍රාණකර්ත්තුරීශ්වරස්‍යාස්මාකං ප්‍රත්‍යාශාභූමේඃ ප්‍රභෝ ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය චාඥානුසාරතෝ යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය ප්‍රේරිතඃ පෞලඃ ස්වකීයං සත්‍යං ධර්ම්මපුත්‍රං තීමථියං ප්‍රති පත්‍රං ලිඛති|
2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
අස්මාකං තාත ඊශ්වරෝ(අ)ස්මාකං ප්‍රභු ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටශ්ච ත්වයි අනුග්‍රහං දයාං ශාන්තිඤ්ච කුර‍්‍ය්‍යාස්තාං|
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
මාකිදනියාදේශේ මම ගමනකාලේ ත්වම් ඉඵිෂනගරේ තිෂ්ඨන් ඉතරශික්‍ෂා න ග්‍රහීතව්‍යා, අනන්තේෂූපාඛ්‍යානේෂු වංශාවලිෂු ච යුෂ්මාභි ර්මනෝ න නිවේශිතව්‍යම්
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
ඉති කාංශ්චිත් ලෝකාන් යද් උපදිශේරේතත් මයාදිෂ්ටෝ(අ)භවඃ, යතඃ සර්ව්වෛරේතෛ ර්විශ්වාසයුක්තේශ්වරීයනිෂ්ඨා න ජායතේ කින්තු විවාදෝ ජායතේ|
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
උපදේශස්‍ය ත්වභිප්‍රේතං ඵලං නිර්ම්මලාන්තඃකරණේන සත්සංවේදේන නිෂ්කපටවිශ්වාසේන ච යුක්තං ප්‍රේම|
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
කේචිත් ජනාශ්ච සර්ව්වාණ්‍යේතානි විහාය නිරර්ථකකථානාම් අනුගමනේන විපථගාමිනෝ(අ)භවන්,
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
යද් භාෂන්තේ යච්ච නිශ්චින්වන්ති තන්න බුධ්‍යමානා ව්‍යවස්ථෝපදේෂ්ටාරෝ භවිතුම් ඉච්ඡන්ති|
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
සා ව්‍යවස්ථා යදි යෝග්‍යරූපේණ ගෘහ්‍යතේ තර්හ්‍යුත්තමා භවතීති වයං ජානීමඃ|
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
අපරං සා ව්‍යවස්ථා ධාර්ම්මිකස්‍ය විරුද්ධා න භවති කින්ත්වධාර්ම්මිකෝ (අ)වාධ්‍යෝ දුෂ්ටඃ පාපිෂ්ඨෝ (අ)පවිත්‍රෝ (අ)ශුචිඃ පිතෘහන්තා මාතෘහන්තා නරහන්තා
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
වේශ්‍යාගාමී පුංමෛථුනී මනුෂ්‍යවික්‍රේතා මිථ්‍යාවාදී මිථ්‍යාශපථකාරී ච සර්ව්වේෂාමේතේෂාං විරුද්ධා,
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
තථා සච්චිදානන්දේශ්වරස්‍ය යෝ විභවයුක්තඃ සුසංවාදෝ මයි සමර්පිතස්තදනුයායිහිතෝපදේශස්‍ය විපරීතං යත් කිඤ්චිද් භවති තද්විරුද්ධා සා ව්‍යවස්ථේති තද්ග්‍රාහිණා ඥාතව්‍යං|
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
මහ්‍යං ශක්තිදාතා යෝ(අ)ස්මාකං ප්‍රභුඃ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටයීශුස්තමහං ධන්‍යං වදාමි|
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
යතඃ පුරා නින්දක උපද්‍රාවී හිංසකශ්ච භූත්වාප්‍යහං තේන විශ්වාස්‍යෝ (අ)මන්‍යේ පරිචාරකත්වේ න්‍යයුජ්‍යේ ච| තද් අවිශ්වාසාචරණම් අඥානේන මයා කෘතමිති හේතෝරහං තේනානුකම්පිතෝ(අ)භවං|
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
අපරං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේ යීශෞ විශ්වාසප්‍රේමභ්‍යාං සහිතෝ(අ)ස්මත්ප්‍රභෝරනුග්‍රහෝ (අ)තීව ප්‍රචුරෝ(අ)භත්|
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
පාපිනඃ පරිත්‍රාතුං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටෝ යීශු ර්ජගති සමවතීර්ණෝ(අ)භවත්, ඒෂා කථා විශ්වාසනීයා සර්ව්වෛ ග්‍රහණීයා ච|
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)
තේෂාං පාපිනාං මධ්‍යේ(අ)හං ප්‍රථම ආසං කින්තු යේ මානවා අනන්තජීවනප්‍රාප්ත්‍යර්ථං තස්මින් විශ්වසිෂ්‍යන්ති තේෂාං දෘෂ්ටාන්තේ මයි ප්‍රථමේ යීශුනා ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේන ස්වකීයා කෘත්ස්නා චිරසහිෂ්ණුතා යත් ප්‍රකාශ්‍යතේ තදර්ථමේවාහම් අනුකම්පාං ප්‍රාප්තවාන්| (aiōnios g166)
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
අනාදිරක්‍ෂයෝ(අ)දෘශ්‍යෝ රාජා යෝ(අ)ද්විතීයඃ සර්ව්වඥ ඊශ්වරස්තස්‍ය ගෞරවං මහිමා චානන්තකාලං යාවද් භූයාත්| ආමේන්| (aiōn g165)
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
හේ පුත්‍ර තීමථිය ත්වයි යානි භවිෂ්‍යද්වාක්‍යානි පුරා කථිතානි තදනුසාරාද් අහම් ඒනමාදේශං ත්වයි සමර්පයාමි, තස්‍යාභිප්‍රායෝ(අ)යං යත්ත්වං තෛ ර්වාක්‍යෛරුත්තමයුද්ධං කරෝෂි
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
විශ්වාසං සත්සංවේදඤ්ච ධාරයසි ච| අනයෝඃ පරිත්‍යාගාත් කේෂාඤ්චිද් විශ්වාසතරී භග්නාභවත්|
20 Of whom is Hymenæus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
හුමිනායසිකන්දරෞ තේෂාං යෞ ද්වෞ ජනෞ, තෞ යද් ධර්ම්මනින්දාං පුන ර්න කර්ත්තුං ශික්‍ෂේතේ තදර්ථං මයා ශයතානස්‍ය කරේ සමර්පිතෞ|
