< 1 John 3 >
1 BEHOLD, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Sobꞌa hei dudꞌuꞌa Amaꞌ sia sorga susuen neu nggita! Huu susuen naa manaseliꞌ, losa Ana soꞌu nggita dadꞌi Eni ana nara. Naa tebꞌe! Te atahori mana rasodꞌa tungga raefafoꞌ ia hihii-nanaun, nda rahine hita ia seka sa boe, huu nda rahine Lamatualain sa.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Ana susue ngga re! Hita dadꞌi Lamatualain ana nara ena, te nda feꞌe bubꞌuluꞌ dei fo hita dadꞌi taꞌo bee sa boe. Akaꞌ na hita bubꞌuluꞌ, taꞌo ia: mete ma Kristus baliꞌ nema, hita dadꞌi onaꞌ E boe, huu tita E relo-relo.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Basa atahori mana rahani Kristus neneman, tantu ara tao ramemeu masodꞌa nara, fo rasodꞌa meumareꞌ onaꞌ Kristus boe.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Basa sala-kiluꞌ ra ralena-langga Lamatuaꞌ parendan. Naa de basa atahori mana tao salaꞌ ra ralena-langga Lamatualain parendan ena, ma labꞌan Lamatuaꞌ boe.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Hei bubꞌuluꞌ mae, Kristus dadꞌi atahori fo fee ambon neu sala-kiluꞌ ra. Ana bisa tao taꞌo naa, huu Eni nda mana tao salaꞌ sa.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
Dadꞌi atahori fo masodꞌan naꞌabꞌue nakandoo no E, nasodꞌa nda tao salaꞌ sa ena.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Ana susue ngga re! Afiꞌ losa hei neneꞌediꞌ nalaꞌ. Te atahori mana nasodꞌa tungga saa fo ndoo-tetuꞌ a, naa eni, atahori rala ndoos, onaꞌ Kristus boe.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Naa de Lamatuaꞌ Anan nema tao nalutu nitu a tatao-nonoꞌi deꞌulakan naa.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Atahori mana dadꞌi Lamatuaꞌ anan, nda tao salaꞌ sa ena, huu Lamatuaꞌ leo sia aon rala. Ana nda bisa tao salaꞌ nakandooꞌ a sa, huu eni naꞌoka sia Lamatuaꞌ.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
Mia lele uluꞌ a, hei rena memaꞌ hehelu-fufuliꞌ ia, mana oi, “Esa sue-lai esa!”
12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
Feꞌe misinedꞌa Kaen no Habel dudꞌuit na, to?
13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
Toronoo ngga re! Afiꞌ heran mete ma atahori mana tungga raefafoꞌ ia hihii-nanaun ra, mburu-oeꞌ ro nggi.
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. (aiōnios )
Huu atahori mana mburu-oeꞌ ro toronoon, eni onaꞌ atahori mana tao nisa atahori. Naa, hei bubꞌuluꞌ ena mae, atahori mataꞌ naa nda hambu nasodꞌa nakandoo no Lamatualain sa. (aiōnios )
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
Hita bisa tahine susue matetuꞌ mia Kristus conto na. Huu Ana sue nggita, losa Ana fee Aon de mate, fo nggati hita ena. Huu naa, hita o musi sadꞌia fee ao tara neu toronoo tara boe.
17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
Mete ma hambu atahori sa masodꞌan hambu-dai, basa ma nita toronoon esa sia sususaꞌ rala, te ralan nda naꞌena susueꞌ mbei sa boe, fo tulu-fali e sa, taꞌo bee fo atahori naa bisa olaꞌ nae, “Au sue Lamatualain!” Nda bisa sa!
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Ana susue ngga re! Afiꞌ sue noꞌ a dedꞌea-oꞌolaꞌ maloleꞌ ra, te tao dala maloleꞌ boe, fo mitudꞌu susue mara no matetuꞌ.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
Te mete ma hita tatudꞌu susueꞌ ma tao dala maloleꞌ taꞌo naa, hita bisa bubꞌuluꞌ tae, hita hambu tasodꞌa tungga ndoo-tetuꞌ a. No taꞌo naa, hita nda parlu tamatau sa, ma bisa botiꞌ mata tara leleꞌ tandaa to Lamatualain.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
Itaꞌ mae rala tara feꞌe fua salaꞌ neu nggita soꞌal dala nda maloleꞌ fo tao titaꞌ ra, na, afiꞌ tamatau. Huu Lamatualain naꞌena kasian lenaꞌ seli mia hita. Ma Ana o bubꞌuluꞌ basa-bꞌasaꞌ e.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
Ana susue ngga re!
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Huu hita tao tungga parenda nara, ma tao ralan namahoꞌo, naa de hita bisa simbo basa saa fo toꞌe mia E.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
Parendan nae taꞌo ia: tamahere takandoo neu Anan Yesus Kristus, fo Ana haitua nemaꞌ a. Ma esa sue esa nekendooꞌ a, onaꞌ Yesus parendan.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
Atahori mana tao tungga Lamatualain parenda nara, eni nasodꞌa neꞌebꞌue no Lamatualain ena. Ma Lamatuaꞌ o neꞌebꞌue no eni boe. Hita bubꞌuluꞌ Eni sia rala tara, huu Dula-dalen nasodꞌa sia naa.
