1 Corinthians 9
1 AM I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?
Dili ba ako gawas? Dili ba ako apostol? Wala ba ako makakita kang Jesus nga atong Ginoo? Dili ba kamo akong buhat diha sa Ginoo?
2 If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
Kon sa uban giisip ako nga dili apostol, kaninyo apostol gayud ako; kay kamo sa inyong pagkakinabig mao man ang timri sa akong pagka-apostol.
3 Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,
Kini mao ang akong pagpangatarungan batok kanila nga buot magausisa kanako.
4 Have we not power to eat and to drink?
Wala ba diay kami ing katungod sa pagpangayog pagkaon ug ilimnon?
5 Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
Wala ba diay kami ing katungod sa pagpakuyog kanamog asawa nga magtotoo, maingon sa ginabuhat sa ubang mga apostoles ug sa mga igsoon sa Ginoo ug ni Cefas?
6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?
O si Barnabas ra ba diay ug ako ang walay katungod sa paglikay sa buhat alang sa panginabuhi?
7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
Kinsa bang sundaloha ang moalagad nga mao ray magagasto alang sa iyang kaugalingon? Kinsa bay magatanum ug parasan nga dili mokaon sa bunga niini? Kinsa bay magabuhig mga hayop nga dili magpahimulos sa gatas niini?
8 Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
Ginasulti ko ba kini sa tinawhanon lamang? Dili ba ang kasugoan nagasulti man ug sama niini?
9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
Kay nahisulat kini sa kasugoan ni Moises, "Ayaw pagbusali ang baba sa baka nga nagagiok!" May kahingawa ba ang Dios alang sa mga baka lamang?
10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
Dili ba sa pagkatinuod siya nagasulti niini alang sa atong kaayohan? Sa pagkatinuod kini gisulat alang sa atong kaayohan, aron ang magdadaro magadaro nga may paglaum, ug ang maggigiuk kinahanglan magagiuk nga may paglaum sa pagpakaambit ug bahin sa abut.
11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
Kon ugaling nakapugas man kami ug panalangin nga espirituhanon diha kaninyo, ipakadautan ba diay kon kami magaani sa inyong mga panalangin nga yutan-on?
12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
Kon ang uban inyong gitugotan sa pagpahimulos sa maong katungod diha kaninyo, dili ba unta kami labi pa?
13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
Wala ba kamo masayud nga sila nga nanag-alagad sa templo nagakuha sa ilang pagkaon gikan sa templo, ug nga sila nga nagaalagad sa halaran nagadawat ug bahin gikan sa mga hinalad-inihaw?
14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
Sa ingon nga paagi, ang Ginoo nagsugo nga ang mga nagasangyaw sa Maayong Balita magakuha sa ilang kapanginabuhian gikan sa Maayong Balita.
15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
Apan wala ako magpahimulos sa bisan unsa niining maong mga katungod, ug wala usab ako karon magsulat niini aron lamang pagahimoon ang ingon niini alang kanako. Kay palabihon ko nga mamatay ako kay sa pagakuhaan ako niining hinungdan sa akong pagpasigarbo.
16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
Kay kon ginawali ko man ang Maayong Balita, kini wala maghatag kanako ug hinungdan sa pagpasigarbo, kay mapugos man gayud ako sa pagbuhat niini ingon nga akong katungdanan. Alaut ako kon dili ko iwali ang Maayong Balita!
17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
Ug kon buhaton ko kini sa kinabobut-on, ako magadawat ug suhol; apan kon dili sa kinabobut-on, sa gihapon kini gikatugyan `kanako ingon nga piniyalan.
18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
Busa, unsa man lang diay ang akong balus? Mao lang kini: nga sa akong pagwali, ang Maayong Balita ikahatag ko nga walay bayad, aron dili ko kapahimuslan ang akong katungod sa pagkamagwawali sa Maayong Balita.
19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
Kay bisan tuod ako gawas gikan sa tanang tawo, hinonoa nagapaulipon ako sa tanan aron makabig ko unta ang labi pang daghan.
20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
Ngadto sa mga Judio ako nahimong ingon sa Judio aron sa pagkabig sa mga Judio; ngadto sa mga nagapailalum sa kasugoan ako nahimong ingon sa nailalum sa kasugoan bisan tuod ako dili ilalum sa kasugoan aron makabig ko ang mga nailalum sa kasugoan.
21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ, ) that I might gain them that are without law.
Kanila nga walay kasugoan, ako nahimong ingon sa walay kasugoan bisan tuod ako may kasugoan sa Dios ug nailalum sa balaod ni Cristo aron makabig ko sila nga walay kasugoan.
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
Ngadto sa mga mahuyang, ako nahimong ingon sa mahuyang aron makabig ko ang mga mahuyang. Ako nahimong tanang mga butang ngadto sa tanang mga tawo, aron nga sa bisan unsang paagiha maluwas ko unta ang pipila kanila.
23 And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
Akong ginabuhat kining tanan tungod sa Maayong Balita, aron ako makaambit sa mga panalangin niini.
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Wala ba kamo masayud nga sa panaglumba ang tanang mga magdadalagan apil man sa bangga, apan nga usa ra kanila ang makadawat sa ganti? Busa dumalagan kamo sa ingon aron makadawat kamo niini.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
Ang matag-usa ka magdudula nagabatasan sa pagpugong sa iyang kaugalingon labut sa tanang mga butang. Sila nagahimo niini aron sa pagdaug sa usa ka purongpurong nga madunot ra, apan kita aron sa pagdaug sa dili madunot.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
Busa, sa akong bahin, ako wala magdalagan nga walay tumong, ang akong sinumbagan dili ingon sa nagabatibatig sumbag sa hangin;
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
hinonoa ginabun-og ko ang akong lawas ug ginapanton ko kini, basi unya nga sa tapus ako makasangyaw ngadto sa uban, ako pagahukman na hinoon nga dili diay takus sa pag-apil sa bangga.
