< Zechariah 7 >

1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came to Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;
Darius siangpahrang uknae kum pali, thapa yung tako, Chislev hnin pali hnin nah Zekhariah koe BAWIPA e lawk ka tho e teh,
2 When they had sent to the house of God Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,
BAWIPA e hmalah ratoum hanlah kum moikasaw sak e patetlah thapa yung panga navah, khuika teh bu hai han nama telah,
3 And to speak to the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
Ransahu BAWIPA e im dawk kaawm e vaihma hoiyah profetnaw hah pacei hanelah, Sherezer, Regem Melek hoi ahnimae taminaw BAWIPA e im dawk a patoun awh.
4 Then came the word of the LORD of hosts to me, saying,
Ransahu BAWIPA e lawk teh Zekhariah koe a pha teh,
5 Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did you at all fast to me, even to me?
vaihmanaw hoi khocaramcanaw pueng hanelah na dei hane teh, a kum 70 touh thung, nangmanaw teh thapa ayung panga e hoi ayung sari e dawkvah bu na hai awh teh na khuika awh navah atangcalah kaie ka ngainae patetlah Kai koe bu na hai awh maw.
6 And when you did eat, and when you did drink, did not you eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
Na canei awh nahaiyah ma ngainae patetlah vai na canei a vaw.
7 Should you not hear the words which the LORD has cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
Jerusalem khopui hoi atengpam e khonaw akalae hoi tanghlingnaw dawk e tami apap lahun navah, ayan e profetnaw koe Cathut ni a pathang e kâlawk akuep toung nahoehmaw telah a ti.
8 And the word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying,
Hat navah, Zekhariah koe ka phat e BAWIPA e lawk teh,
9 Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
Kalan lah lawkceng awh. Pahren lungmanae hoi buet touh hoi buet touh lungkâpataw awh.
10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
Naranaw, lahmai napui, ayâ khoram kaawm e karoedengnaw rektap awh hanh. Buet touh hoi buet touh kahawihoehe pouknae tawn awh hanh telah ransahu BAWIPA ni a dei e teh,
11 But they refused to listen, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
Ahnimouh ni ka lawk ngai laipalah hlout nahanlah a kâyawm awh. A thai hoeh nahanlah a hnâ a tabuem awh.
12 Yes, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts has sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
Phunglawk thoseh, ransahu BAWIPA e Muitha niyah ayan e profetnaw koe a dei pouh e lawk thoseh, ahnimouh ni a thai awh hoeh nahanlah a lungthinnaw lungtaw patetlah a pata sak awh. Hatdawkvah, ransahu BAWIPA teh puenghoi a lungkhuek.
13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, says the LORD of hosts:
Kai ni ka kaw navah a thai awh hoeh e patetlah, ahnimouh ni na kaw to hai kai ni ka thai pouh mahoeh telah ransahu BAWIPA ni a ti.
14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.
Ahnimouh ni a panue awh hoeh e miphunnaw koevah bongparui hoi ka palek sak awh toe. Hatdawkvah, ahnimae ram teh kingkadi lah ao teh, apihaiyah kâhlumkâhlai e awm hoeh. Ram kahawi teh koung raphoe lah ao telah a ti.
