Romans 14
1 Him that is weak in the faith receive you, but not to doubtful disputations.
Reciban bien al que es débil en la fe, y no entren en discusiones con él.
2 For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs.
Un hombre tiene fe para tomar todas las cosas como alimento: otro que es débil en fe solo toma vegetales.
3 Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him which eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him.
El que come, no menosprecie al que no come; y el que no come, no juzgue al que lo hace; porque él tiene la aprobación de Dios.
4 Who are you that judge another man’s servant? to his own master he stands or falls. Yes, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.
¿Quién eres tú para hacerte juez del siervo de otro hombre? si queda bien o si queda mal es a su maestro que él es responsable de lo bueno o lo malo. Pero quedará bien, porque él Señor tiene poder para hacerle quedar bien.
5 One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Otro caso: Este hombre pone un día antes que otro; para ese hombre son lo mismo. Cada uno debe estar convencido de lo que cree.
6 He that regards the day, regards it to the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks.
El que guarda el día, lo guarda para el Señor; y el que toma alimento, lo toma como el Señor, porque él alaba a Dios; y el que no toma alimento, deja de tomarlas para honrar al Señor, y también alaba a Dios.
7 For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself.
Ninguno de nosotros vive para sí mismo, ni muere para sí mismo.
8 For whether we live, we live to the Lord; and whether we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
Mientras tengamos vida, estamos viviendo para el Señor; o si morimos, para él Señor morimos. Entonces si estamos viviendo, o si nuestra vida llega a su fin, somos del Señor.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
Y para esto, Cristo fue a la muerte y regresó, para que él sea el Señor de los muertos y de los vivos.
10 But why do you judge your brother? or why do you set at nothing your brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Pero tú, ¿por qué te haces el juez de tu hermano? o de nuevo, ¿por qué no respetas a tu hermano? porque todos tendremos que tomar nuestro lugar ante Dios como nuestro juez.
11 For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Porque está dicho en las Sagradas Escrituras: Vivo yo, dice el Señor, a mí toda rodilla se doblará, y toda lengua confesará a Dios.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Entonces cada uno de nosotros tendrá que dar cuenta de sí mismo a Dios.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
Entonces no seamos jueces el uno del otro por más tiempo, pero tengan esto en mente, de no hacer nada que sea causa de que su hermano tropiece, o que ponga en peligro su Fe.
14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteems any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Soy consciente de esto, y estoy seguro en el Señor Jesús, que nada es inmundo en sí mismo; pero para el hombre en cuya opinión es inmunda, para él es inmundo.
15 But if your brother be grieved with your meat, now walk you not charitably. Destroy not him with your meat, for whom Christ died.
Y si a causa de la comida tu hermano está angustiado, entonces ya no andas conforme al amor. No dejes que tu comida sea destrucción para él por quien Cristo fue a la muerte.
16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
No den pues lugar, a que se hable mal de la libertad que ustedes tienen.
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Porque el reino de Dios no es comida ni bebida, sino justicia, paz y gozo en el Espíritu Santo.
18 For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
Y el que en estas cosas es el siervo de Cristo, agrada a Dios y tiene la aprobación de los hombres.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things with which one may edify another.
Entonces, vayamos detrás de las cosas que hacen la paz, y las cosas por las cuales podemos ayudarnos unos a otros a crecer espiritualmente.
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eats with offense.
No permitas que la obra de Dios se desvanezca por causa de la comida. Todas las cosas son ciertamente limpias; pero es malo para ese hombre que al tomar comida lo hace perder la fe a otro.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.
Es mejor no comer carne ni vino ni hacer nada que pueda causarle a tu hermano que tropiece.
22 Have you faith? have it to yourself before God. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing which he allows.
La fe que tienes, tenla para ti mismo delante de Dios. Feliz es el hombre que no es juzgado por eso a lo que él da su aprobación.
23 And he that doubts is damned if he eat, because he eats not of faith: for whatever is not of faith is sin.
Pero el que duda es juzgado si come, porque no lo hace con fe; y lo que no es de fe, es pecado.
