Psalms 87

1 His foundation is in the holy mountains.

Псалом синів Кореєвих. Пісня.

2 The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

Основи його – на горах святих. Господь любить ворота Сіону більше від усіх осель Якова.

3 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. (Selah)

Славне говорять про тебе, місто Боже! (Села)

4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.

Я нагадаю тим, хто знає мене, про Раав і Вавилон, ось Филистея і Тир із Кушем [казатимуть]: «Цей народився там».

5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

І про Сіон скажуть: «Такий-то й такий-то народився в ньому, і Сам Всевишній утвердить це [місто]».

6 The LORD shall count, when he writes up the people, that this man was born there. (Selah)

Господь запише при переписі народів: «Цей народився там». (Села)

7 As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in you.

Співаючи й пританцьовуючи, скажуть: «Усі мої джерела в тобі, [Сіоне]!»
