Psalms 85

1 Lord, you have been favorable to your land: you have brought back the captivity of Jacob.

לַמְנַצֵּחַ ׀ לִבְנֵי־קֹרַח מִזְמֽוֹר׃ רָצִיתָ יְהֹוָה אַרְצֶךָ שַׁבְתָּ (שבות) [שְׁבִית] יַעֲקֹֽב׃

2 You have forgiven the iniquity of your people, you have covered all their sin. (Selah)

נָשָׂאתָ עֲוֺן עַמֶּךָ כִּסִּיתָ כׇל־חַטָּאתָם סֶֽלָה׃

3 You have taken away all your wrath: you have turned yourself from the fierceness of your anger.

אָסַפְתָּ כׇל־עֶבְרָתֶךָ הֱשִׁיבוֹתָ מֵחֲרוֹן אַפֶּֽךָ׃

4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause your anger toward us to cease.

שׁוּבֵנוּ אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעֵנוּ וְהָפֵר כַּעַסְךָ עִמָּֽנוּ׃

5 Will you be angry with us for ever? will you draw out your anger to all generations?

הַלְעוֹלָם תֶּאֱנַף־בָּנוּ תִּמְשֹׁךְ אַפְּךָ לְדֹר וָדֹֽר׃

6 Will you not revive us again: that your people may rejoice in you?

הֲֽלֹא־אַתָּה תָּשׁוּב תְּחַיֵּנוּ וְעַמְּךָ יִשְׂמְחוּ־בָֽךְ׃

7 Show us your mercy, O LORD, and grant us your salvation.

הַרְאֵנוּ יְהֹוָה חַסְדֶּךָ וְיֶשְׁעֲךָ תִּתֶּן־לָֽנוּ׃

8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace to his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

אֶשְׁמְעָה מַה־יְדַבֵּר הָאֵל ׀ יְהֹוָה כִּי ׀ יְדַבֵּר שָׁלוֹם אֶל־עַמּוֹ וְאֶל־חֲסִידָיו וְאַל־יָשׁוּבוּ לְכִסְלָֽה׃

9 Surely his salvation is near them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

אַךְ קָרוֹב לִירֵאָיו יִשְׁעוֹ לִשְׁכֹּן כָּבוֹד בְּאַרְצֵֽנוּ׃

10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

חֶסֶד־וֶאֱמֶת נִפְגָּשׁוּ צֶדֶק וְשָׁלוֹם נָשָֽׁקוּ׃

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

אֱמֶת מֵאֶרֶץ תִּצְמָח וְצֶדֶק מִשָּׁמַיִם נִשְׁקָֽף׃

12 Yes, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

גַּם־יְהֹוָה יִתֵּן הַטּוֹב וְאַרְצֵנוּ תִּתֵּן יְבוּלָֽהּ׃

13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

צֶדֶק לְפָנָיו יְהַלֵּךְ וְיָשֵׂם לְדֶרֶךְ פְּעָמָֽיו׃
